Well, not sure, could be surgery. However, I lost a lot of fat on my face getting older. And yes, losing weight also makes your face smaller and cheekbones more prominent. I have a similar face type to Anja, including huge eyes, and my face looks a lot slimmer with more prominent cheekbones at 35 than it did at 20 when I still had a lot of "babyfat". And if I put on makeup I can make them appear sharper. Not THAT sharp though.

Once in a while mother nature gets her best brushes and paints out and knocks up a work of art. As for whether she's had anything done - very possible, likely even. But her appearance is so very fine tuned to begin with that really all of the alternative explanations seem very plausible to me.

Some of those side by side photos have one image slightly closer to the camera than the image next to it, which makes everything look slightly bigger, broader, longer and plumper. Or one with her face and nose tilted nostrils up and the other tilted down. Or one with her eyelids showing because she has them relaxed and the other she is smiling which scrunches the eyelids back. That one eye brow remains slightly less curved than the other (as with most people) even after the so called post eyebrow lift photos. Also the head tilted slightly sideways toward the camera makes it seem flatter, while tilted away it makes the eyebrow look more curved as in the title side by side photos.

As she ages, her face is going to start collapsing over that hollow and she will need more perpetual surgeries to correct how strange it is going to look at different stages. She always had pronounced cheekbones and losing weight and her baby fat now that she's past 20 simply makes them more obvious. You all always selectively use pics from her teens where her cheeks look fuller (ignoring the pics from that time where her cheekbones are obvious, or ignoring how her face always looked everytime she lost weight) comparing them to recent pics from events where she's obviously sucking her cheeks in for pose and wearing a lot of make up. That when in other pics from the same day, as well as in make up free pictures, she doesn't look like that. Either way, this girl has been on movie sets and shooting several photoshoots with her face since years now, without taking a week off in between, she wouldn't even have the time to hide the swelling and scars that would result from such invasive procedures as the ones you speculate she had. All her pap pics from these years show her face clearly and most of them are without make up even, and she never showed a single sign of any procedure.

Some of those side by side photos have one image slightly closer to the camera than the image next to it, which makes everything look slightly bigger, broader, longer and plumper.
Or one with her face and nose tilted nostrils up and the other tilted down.
Or one with her eyelids showing because she has them relaxed and the other she is smiling which scrunches the eyelids back.
That one eye brow remains slightly less curved than the other (as with most people) even after the so called post eyebrow lift photos.
Also the head tilted slightly sideways toward the camera makes it seem flatter, while tilted away it makes the eyebrow look more curved as in the title side by side photos.

The buccal fat surgery was a mistake she will regret in a decade or so. As she ages, her face is going to start collapsing over that hollow and she will need more perpetual surgeries to correct how strange it is going to look at different stages. She looks gaunt and unhealthy on top of that, I worry about the pressure of her career and how it is both affecting her self care (or lack thereof) and also further distorting her self perception of her appearance.

She always had pronounced cheekbones and losing weight and her baby fat now that she's past 20 simply makes them more obvious. You all always selectively use pics from her teens where her cheeks look fuller (ignoring the pics from that time where her cheekbones are obvious, or ignoring how her face always looked everytime she lost weight) comparing them to recent pics from events where she's obviously sucking her cheeks in for pose and wearing a lot of make up. That when in other pics from the same day, as well as in make up free pictures, she doesn't look like that. Either way, this girl has been on movie sets and shooting several photoshoots with her face since years now, without taking a week off in between, she wouldn't even have the time to hide the swelling and scars that would result from such invasive procedures as the ones you speculate she had. All her pap pics from these years show her face clearly and most of them are without make up even, and she never showed a single sign of any procedure.

I doubt Anyas had any surgery, what people forget is Anya's been working her butt off for year's. Also she's a smoker. Both combined will give her a thinner appearance. Ever since I saw VVitch I knew Anya would blow up in the cinematic world, she's a natural gifted young woman and I wish her the best.
In my case ever since i saw Split i knew Anya is an amazing actress after surviving Shymalans infamous acting direction. So the fact that she didn't ended up like veterans Mark Whalberg in the happening, or Paul Giamati in lady on the water or even the entire cast of the last airbender, so the fact she survive her second movie with that weird but harmaless director just showcase how much talented you are.

Losing weight makes your nose look BIGGER in proportion to the smaller face. The nose doesn't get smaller. She definitely had quite a few procedures. Her blepharoplasty on the lower lids was done poorly and created too much white sclera (outer layer of the eyeball) which gives her an alien look. She might have had another surgery to correct it since then, but if you look at some of the photos after she first got surgery, it was really bad. The removal of too much soft tissue and skin from the lower eyelid can result in this. She was actually very pretty before she had anything done and looks best with dark hair.

I think it just serves to demonstrate to young women that they aren't good enough as they are. That there is some improvement that needs to be made to their appearance to become beautiful. It's really hard to see someone who has gone under surgery that still mantain their individual tracies. We can see a lot of famous people really becoming the same. So if it was true the rumours I think the surgeon made a good job just highlighting her unique features!
