After two years lets run the numbers and see if it is worth it to install your own solar system. This video explains how I determined how long it will take to pay back what I spent on installing my solar system. If you install your solar panels yourself the total cost will be far less (about 1/4 to 1/3 ) what it would cost to hire a solar company to do it, so the pay off is a lot shorter than you might think.
