      Having 2 crores from ancestral wealth helps too. But he is investing it wisely.

    Kudos 👏 to this guy for doing the right thing ethically , morally and financially.
    Took a practical call, sold the ancestral property , split half with sister and other half invested wisely and again reinvesting on a monthly basis 👍.
    In next 20 years his money, if invested wisely can be 10x , so his retirement is sorted and who knows he will rent a penthouse in future .
    Moral of the story : Unlock the money and invest wisely in a diversified portfolio , rather than having a 5cr apartment and no money in pocket.

    I too was in a similar situation almost a decade ago. I would advise him to keep at least 50% of his idle funds in a FD. Spread it out among different banks. And buy a plot of land somewhere with potential. Or invest in a flat. You do not know what you're plans are going to be 10-15 years down the line. You may suddenly get married and have kids. Always keep your options open. Save as much as you can by cooking yourself. And get a job, any job. Trust me, 4 crores is not much in the bigger scheme of things. Lastly, take care of your health. That is probably the most important aspect that most young men overlook. Once your health is compromised, your entire outlook will change.

      He has much less than 4.3 crore, after long term capital gain adjusted to inflation, lets say 50 lakhs went so 3.8 crores, with the split with his sister he has roughly 2+ crores assuming his parent left some cash savings to him. Yeah not a big amount at all considering its Mumbai. If markets fluctuate suddenly, he'll be in trouble. Best to keep say 25L in gold, 75 in markets, 1 cr in FD. Even then it may hardly support him for 10 days

    • @TheGeorgeous

      2.15 cr should be in the multiple funds/ bank deposits.
      Even a 6% return is 12 lakhs a year.
      He must have a Systematic Withdrawal Plan (SWP) each month for 1 lakh or 50k depending on his spending.

    I don't know how people love this series. The planing is shit, when he is not moving out of the house then he can settle in tire 2 or 3 city and pay less rent like 10k and get the same return from is investments and the saved money can also be used for traveling, where is the calculation of rented furniture, if he is paying 3% of the original cost to the furniture as the rent every month, at the end of 30 months he will not have the furniture and still be paying where if he would have bought at the end of 30 month's the furniture is his own 🤦. God bless all the people who think it's the best planning.

    • @xumit
      @xumit ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Agreed, worst financial planning in terms of his expenses. Swiggy food, rented furniture, that too earning close to a lac a month. Just sell some funds and buy the furniture! Also, your estimation of 3% a month is quiet low IMO. Its even more than that for these shitty furniture renting companies.

    • @vdate4856
      @vdate4856 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Here you are assuming that he will be renting furniture for 30 months. Few points he might have considered while renting the furniture. 1. He never know what furniture he actually needs so better to rent it than after few months to regret it. 2. He will not gonna stay at the same place for more than 2 years in most of the cases. In which case buying might be wrong as it may not suit his next place. 3. If he really find some furniture useful he can buy it later without having any doubts. It's hard to find such a clarity in life and this guy looks perfect for having worked out most of his actual problems. All the best man for your happy successfull but most importantly peaceful life. We often neglect the last thing which is actually the most important one. I m kinda similar situation to him and I agree completely with his decisions here.
