You made my hair look 10x better. My hair is fine but I have TONS of it. I always ended up looking like a weighted mushroom with no movement after my haircuts. I came home misunderstood and dissatisfied once again after my haircut yesterday. I dug around and and stumbled upon your video. I happened to have professional shears and followed your instructions to FINALLY give my boring hair lift and movement. Thank you thank you thank you! My heads feels so much better too.

Yes! I’ve searched and search for tips on fine hair that’s really thick but haven’t been able to find anything. I have a ton of hair but it’s fine to it gets puffy at the bottom and weighed down and flat at the top.

I have hair nearly identical to your model. THANK YOU for sharing this!! I wish more hairstylists knew how to do this. My hair is very fine, but I have a lot of bulk in the back. When they remove too much from my front, it makes my face look horrible. I have a round face and face framing layers do not compliment. This technique is exactly what I need and I hope to find someone who can do this. Until then, I will continue to use my thinning shears to remove some bulk from the middle of my hair, as I have been doing for a very long time (since the 90's). I have to do my own hair because too many stylists remove too much hair from the front and leave the bulk in the back. What? Anyway, I would probably have better luck if I could afford better hairstylists like you. VERY VERY VERY well done! Thank you from someone with fine hair that loves it when volume can be created without sacrificing length or shape! 🙂

This video is incredibly helpful!!! I always find myself stuck with fine hair and never know how to create movement without all the layers looking choppy/blunt. I’m excited to use this technique! ❤️

Thank you for this! I have lots of fine hair ( a bit wavy) and getting someone to understand that I need bulk removed, not just to add layers which end up with ever so nice mushroom hairdos and other unhelpful things, is surprisingly difficult. I've learned to specify to NOT have layers (even tho I want some) to make sure the bulk actually gets dealt with. Makes washing and drying 10x easier. And I can add a few layers at home

This is exactly the haircut I want but never get it. I have ended up with mullets and hair that lays weird! I am going to try this or show someone to do it. Thank you

Oh my goodness🙀. I have long thick hair and would like to try this myself☺️! Your explanation and demonstration was very helpful. I live in the middle of nowhere, where hair salons (very few) have never heard of invisible layering/ghost layering and you can pretty much guarantee that any soft layering ya ask for is going to be blunt as hell! Love your approach to gently and seamlessly remove weighted hair!!!!! Any suggestions on the type( length, thickness etc.) of thinning shears that are acceptable for the at home “do it yourself’er” , would greatly be appreciated. Maybe a future video explaining the different types of thinning shears and their uses?😉 Thank you so much. 🤗🇨🇦

Thaaaanks so much for the upload, but I need your help with brush brand that you use please. I’d REALLY appreciate it. I checked the description box ,but couldn’t find a link to it.

I have EXTREMELY LONG, FINE HAIR AND ALOT of it and I have never been able to explain what I would like with a hair cut, even with pictures. Where are you located? I NEED A HAIRCUT FROM SOMEONE WHO KNOWS AND CARES!!!!
Edit: Is there a specific school or teaching methods (ie the Blakely method) that I could search for to find a stylist who KNOWS THIS TECHNIQUE???

My same query, no one knows how to cut hair these days it seems. I can pay $40 or $140 for a haircut and it NEVER comes out the way I envision it.

SAME! I know what I want it to look like, but don't know how to communicate that! I would love to find a hairstylist who can take my inspo photos and descriptions and tell me what technique will get it there

My 14-year-old daughter has long thick curly hair, which is very fine and easily tangles. It’s bulky in the back and she always wears it in a pony tail. Would you recommend thinning/texturing for this hair type?

She’s giving free education that people pay hundreds to thousands of dollars per class, just to learn a few techniques like this. Not to mention beauty tuition is $15000+ nowadays depending on the state. She deserves ads on her video.

so you're just cutting her hair in a none blunt way (which how you should always cut hair if you ask me)
    and you're doing ''inverted'' layers...
    that's it.
without ever learning a technique i came up with this on my own.
