And stunt coordination, sound design, decent marketing, an interest in the source material, an interest in the fanbase, (an interest in television or comics or entertainment at all, really), a good cast, a good director, a legal coach, etc. The show is a mess. No, that sounds about right. I think it's something of a narcissistic twist on "don't worry about what others think of you", tbh. This is hilarious. I never watched the series, but my boyfriend loved it, and he mentioned in passing that Daredevil was a blind lawyer. And I remembered that despite zero further exposure. How can you make a Marvel series and ... seriously, they basically admitted that they winged the whole show, without an ounce of effort and research. The finale broke the MCU in all the wrong ways. It actually made people look back at key moments and think about how they could've been erased by a pointless fourth wall break. There's even a fan made video where Deadpool explains to Jen the ramifications of scrapping Tony Starks noble sacrifice if someone like her had the chance. A power like that shouldn't even exist because now if there is a 2nd season coming we know what to expect. We can just wait til the finale to see her wrap up every plot thread off screen again just to save time.
So it's basically Jessica Gao's self-insert of what she would have acted like if tinder existed when she was still in her 20s, but without the self-awareness to realize that she's not a desired person (and never was) but actually what Peter Griffin once described (using Meg as an example) as a "practice girl" 🤣
I really hope this show gets it’s second season, the terrible levels have surpassed shit and become glorious in how bad it is and become the amazing manure that these videos grow from.

Remember that scene in The Thing when the Thing reveals itself for the first time and the characters are completely stunned at the sight of this absurdly horrifying being, before coming to their senses just in time to burn it? How they reacted to the Thing is how I reacted to She-Hulk the first time. In fact I might go as far as to say that even a hideous entity like the Thing would probably find a stay on Earth too much and leave after a day.
I feel sorry for the actors. The unknowns must have thought they’d won the lottery when they got jobs in a Marvel show. Then they had to read the awful scripts, then act the awful parts, then watch it all dissolve.

The only time I laughed during this series was when Mr. Immortal threw himself out of the skyrise...not because it was a hilarious gag, but because that's what I would do in the face of those two harpies screeching.

I have never read the comic or watched the show, but I absolutely love your reviews! I did not realize that what Jen was wearing when she confronted Kevin was supposed to be a super suit. I thought it was her workout clothes. Wth was that lady saying? We didn't want it to be sexy but we wanted it to be sexy. It is completely understandable that people with a mindset like this were able to create a show like this. I can only hope that this writing team and showrunners are never entrusted with entertainment production again. Thank you for all the laughs!

Something that I've noticed that did a complete 180 in the last decade, self-criticizing, it used to be that people would be harsher when criticizing themselves, nowadays it's the complete opposite. They pat themselves so much on the back, they really feel like a parody of these "self-help/feel good Facebook quotes"!
Management sets the tone of a company or corporation. They also hire and put into important positions those who think like them. This Jessica Gao, writer, the head writer, of the She-Hulk series. MY GOD! That woman sounds like a petulant 12-year-old child. She writes like one as well.
I agree her emotional age is somewhere around 12, but I doubt that any 12 year old could achieve the levels of bitter hate that she has stored up in her soul, or what passes for one.

The finale broke the MCU in all the wrong ways. It actually made people look back at key moments and think about how they could've been erased by a pointless fourth wall break. There's even a fan made video where Deadpool explains to Jen the ramifications of scrapping Tony Starks noble sacrifice if someone like her had the chance. A power like that shouldn't even exist because now if there is a 2nd season coming we know what to expect. We can just wait til the finale to see her wrap up every plot thread off screen again just to save time.

I really hope this show gets it’s second season, the terrible levels have surpassed shit and become glorious in how bad it is and become the amazing manure that these videos grow from.
I already miss my weekly doses of She Hulk rants, not to mention without this show I never would've gotten into Disparu and Doomcock so Im quite grateful or that.

You know, these interviews put in very stark view that the people in the writing room have absolutely no idea about human interaction anymore. These people are totally lost on the grasp on how stupid it is whining about only finding people looking for a quick booty call on a hook up site. Yes, that's what it's for. Problem? The fact that even out of that they can't even produce a human interaction and not some contrived stereotype that we've literally only seen come out of Hollywood and the deranged speaks volumes about how capable the Hollywood talent pool is.
You are funnier in a minute then the whole of She-Hulk has been in a season. Which is embarrassing for Marvel that billions of dollars and they can't hire someone even a hundredths as funnier as a guy filming at home with less then a hundredths of the budget of a Marvel production.

Remember that scene in The Thing when the Thing reveals itself for the first time and the characters are completely stunned at the sight of this absurdly horrifying being, before coming to their senses just in time to burn it? How they reacted to the Thing is how I reacted to She-Hulk the first time. In fact I might go as far as to say that even a hideous entity like the Thing would probably find a stay on Earth too much and leave after a day.

I didn't start dating until I was in my '30s due to social anxiety/shyness, and my options were so bad that I wound up in an abusive relationship for 15 years. I figure we'll soon spend our social lives in virtual realities with AI partners rather than deal with real people, and that might not be a bad thing.
It's always a shame with films and television when the end product very clearly could have been good or at least decently entertaining. You see all the ideas and themes they had considered, but somehow only the worst aspects made it to the end product and the good stuff got left on the cutting room floor.

This was another great one, but seeing Tatiana, Titania, Taik... whatever their names, makes it painful as well. Ultimate Entitled Brat could be the writers band name. Also, do the writers get paid as writer and actor for the episodes they inserted themselves? That would make sense where all the money is going.
The only time I laughed during this series was when Mr. Immortal threw himself out of the skyrise...not because it was a hilarious gag, but because that's what I would do in the face of those two harpies screeching.

IMO the biggest reveal of the writers is that they think Dare Devil would do "The Walk of Shame" when Jen is quite attractive (not a great beauty but certainly not unattractive).

I have never read the comic or watched the show, but I absolutely love your reviews! I did not realize that what Jen was wearing when she confronted Kevin was supposed to be a super suit. I thought it was her workout clothes. Wth was that lady saying? We didn't want it to be sexy but we wanted it to be sexy. It is completely understandable that people with a mindset like this were able to create a show like this. I can only hope that this writing team and showrunners are never entrusted with entertainment production again.

to be fair, the led ring lights are pretty clever. a good way to work with cgi and something that is actually there, like light. granted, if they were just as clever with the writing it would have been better.
