Most pumps in the uk carry around 6 x70m hoses either side of rhe pump and 4 x 45m hoses I can't 100% that every appliance in the uk is the same but that's the usual standard size..
A236 is (or was) a hazmat fru during my tenure on the greens there. Aside from core fru skills (rtc and edba) it covered hazmat, water rescue and large animal rescue. It had basic line skills, but the line skills were carried out by line frus, nearest being Paddington

you can but they must be the right size so they dont fall off i believe
You can but you get specially made ones done. If you notice he has guards on the side.
