I recently bought a Colorado XT and I haven't seen any modifications with the motor mount in the front until yours that is a perfect idea I have the same problem with it sagging in the back and almost going underwater I almost feel like I don't have enough air in the tubes but it seems that it's real hard to get the tubes to the proper inflation You have to take the adapter off and then Close the valve quickly and you lose a lot of air any suggestions on inflation
I actually haven’t had mine for a little while now. I’m looking to get a new/ used one. I used a small battery powered inflator. Let them sit in the sun for like an hour and they will be nice and tight 😂
Nice video bro! I live in Colorado as well and just bought one of these guys this morning. Definetly gonna mod it up like you did. Hit me up if you have any advice man, i would appreciate it for sure.
dillon hearn ya bro they are a lot of fun and can get into spots bigs boats can’t. Front motor mount can make it much more comfortable and after a long day of trolling reaching behind you gets old fast. The wood platform works but not well for a bigger guy. Be safe have fun and hope to see some catches soon.
smithstonean thanks a lot, I don’t have this anymore but it was a good boat. I actually use a Coleman Scanoe now and I love it. I never would’ve thought to flip the transducer.
If you left the original seat frame on you could use the spot for storage of launch tire to mount your fish finder tranducer using a square pc metal bent @90 and down as far as need be. Then leave launch tire at truck its 15 lbs then you dont need motor in front. The reason the back sagged in water was because you probably had the bladders under inflated. I think its a bitch to land fish with motor in front personally.. Great video though. Ty ps try adding a xtra tire to launch wheel spread apart 2' then see how easy it is to launch then .
Search New Trolling Motor Brackett, by Garnett McLay. Slickest front motor-mount out there.
I thinks you have a nice rig there .
One thing about boats and fishing ?
Always learning is the key !!
Spose to modify, not re-engineer
That's why it sags in the back..

how did you mount the plywood to the frame. I like this idea TIA
Brad Hunkins I bolted it down with 1/4 inch bolts. I went through the metal tubes that the seat were mounted to.
Yup ! You were probably reading the shore line at 177ft .
Need to flip that ducer 90 degrees
