UPDATE: We went back to Morocco for a short holiday and found that Google Maps is now also to be used as turn-by-turn navigation. At least on a Iphone it works. Still it is recommended to utilize a proper gps app with offline maps, so you’ll never get stranded
Morocco is an incredible country .. We live in Barcelona (Spain) and we usually visit it very often with our van, sometimes we do it twice a year. Well, nice and very cheap .. Good advice to keep in mind when visiting the country.
Hi we are planning onto travel to Morocco this winter your information is really appreciated. Can you please tell me what port you arrived at in Morocco. Thanks Carl

@@JorenDekker Yeah quite possibly, my fiancée & I are planning to start travelling full time in a van after we get married next July. So I have been looking at good places outside the schengen zone for when we need to reset the 90 day allowance & Morocco has always been on my list of places i want to visit. Your video has definitely cleared up alot of the fear of the unknown for me 😊👍
Thank you for your visit to the Charifian Kingdom of Morocco, we hope to see you again soon, take good care of yourself, may Allah bless you with happiness and good health, I wish you much success, good luck.
Thank you for all helpful tips. I live full time in my motor home and is interested in going to Morocco. I wonder if you think its safe to travel around as a single woman?
Awesome! We've met some single ladies on the road there. You can often park near restaurants and small hotels if you don't feel safe in a area but most of the time the locals are super friendly!
We start by telling where we entered by the way.. 01:00 but no problem I will tell you 😊 We came into Morocco January 2020 just before the whole pandemic. We entered in Tanger med. Because of crazyness few months later we did not exit the same place. We had to leave through Ceuta. Which is really not recommended. I would definitely avoid this place.
@@JorenDekker thanks Joren. I know you said but I couldn’t see where it was when I looked at a map so thought maybe I misunderstood, hence I asked. We are thinking about going in September in our little VW T3 Syncro, so we were happy to see your advice. Thanks again.
@@JorenDekker we are really looking forward to getting off the beaten track and really exploring old Morocco, away from the main cities and tourist areas.
Hey guys, wonderful video. I’m planning to go next year. How was the weather? Rainy? It looks like spring in those months? You said January to March right? I may go March to May .. thanks 😉
The weather was great! We were there in winter until the start of spring. Unfortunately we had to go back because of some virus in 2020.. Or else we'd stay longer. The North of Morocco is a bit greener, so especially in winter it can be a bit more rainy, but overall it was about 25 degrees Celsius and dry. The springtime should be totally awesome when all the valleys are filled with flowers and trees like almonds. Totally avoid summertime because the temperatures are insane. Happy travels!
Hey, great video, just a couple of questions: 1 - where did you book the ferry? Was it online? 2 - when you registration, was it your original papers or was it a copy?
Tnx for your comment! We don't have a dog unfortunately. Friends of us have a dog, it wasn't to much of a problem, but make sure the paperwork is all perfect, and know that there are a lot of (super friendly) stray dogs in Morocco.
I've heard that there are still no ferries from Spain to Morocco and you have to take them from Spain or France. Is that no longer the case? Can you confirm?
@@JorenDekker ok thanks. Yeah as far as I know it hasn't been possible to ferry to Morocco from Spain since April 2020. We were still in Morocco when the borders closed and it has not reopened since.
Yeah you can find that almost everywhere! But I'd recommend not to go the the biggest tourist places to get the best deal. And you can negotiate over the price alot.
You couldn't be in a better country. They can and will fix anything! Plus it's super cheap! We have gotten our van lifted, built a roofrack, rock guard underneath the van for a fraction of the price it would be in Europe. Ali Nassir is the place to go. He is well known and also ia involved with Dakar kinda trips and vehicles.
Thanks! It's easy to find valuta! There are atm's in bigger cities, and they don't really pay with cards in small supermarkets or on the street. So make sure you have enough cash, but as always not tooo much.

Hey, great video, just a couple of questions:
1 - where did you book the ferry? Was it online?

We've booked the ferry at Algeciras. There's a kiosk there www.viajesnormandie.net/
We always have a printed version of our papers.

Nice. But your editing in little sound bites is a bit nervy… my feelings
Thnx fort the feedback. I'm doing this to edit out all of the uuuhhhh's and mispronunciations. Makes the video as short as possible ;-)

2.5 months and I have seen you lol
