i really like this message, i feel like i have been greedy and i want to always save and save for future and emergency needs and i have been asking God to help me love and not idolize money in my life. i really like this message i will try to start giving and helping people in need.
When we are faithful to come to God's Word in prayer, He shows us what needs to change in our lives. All of us need continued transformation to be like Christ!
Thank you Lord that because of you I and those in the body of Christ may experience your riches to the fullest, binding we all may give an acceptable gift according to what one has, while I loosen myself of every unequal yoke and common share with those not giving what is acceptable, in accordance with 2 corinthians 8, 2 corinthians 8:9, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!
It is a privilege to give money to good things- Let's give earnestly to the things that matter to you.... Remember you are rich and abundance - Jesus gave it all for you and I - we are R I C H 👆🏻👆🏽👆🏿 Thanks Pastor
Great video. I’m taking action and going to create a generosity budget for charitable causes I believe in. I’ll start with small, bi weekly donations and eventually increase the amount of money and frequency in which I donate. Jesus sacrificed his wealth for us to be rich, let us sacrifice our wealth to help others. If you’re reading this, have a blessed day. Don’t be too hard on yourself, make small gradual improvements first. Be a blessing to others
Wow! A whole new perspective on giving. Where do you guys get this insight…oh wait! The Holy Spirit…God bless you guys for opening up the Bible for me.
Paul says this is not a command most people leave this out or miss it. This is very important to recognize. It shows that we are and not obligated. We give because we love our family in Christ . New International Version I am not commanding you, but I want to test the sincerity of your love by comparing it with the earnestness of others. New Living Translation I am not commanding you to do this. But I am testing how genuine your love is by comparing it with the eagerness of the other churches. English Standard Version I say this not as a command, but to prove by the earnestness of others that your love also is genuine. Berean Study Bible I am not making a demand, but I am testing the sincerity of your love in comparison to the earnestness of others. Berean Literal Bible I do not speak as a command, but proving the genuineness of your love through the earnestness of others also. King James Bible I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love. New King James Version I speak not by commandment, but I am testing the sincerity of your love by the diligence of others. New American Standard Bible I am not saying this as a command, but as proving, through the earnestness of others, the sincerity of your love as well. NASB 1995 I am not speaking this as a command, but as proving through the earnestness of others the sincerity of your love also.
This is the best of my understanding at this moment as I am studying along with you. The bible doesn't say 10%, but what your heart thinks is right. A church that is doing right (doesn't have to be perfect) does need money to operate. You may not be able to afford 10%, or God could tell you to give more, but it is important to be in prayer in the Holy Spirit, and on God's good side side in your walk with Christ with no offense to brother or sister, and if there is to try to reconcile if possible if you have truly wronged. Also, the storehouse is not the church the Bible was talking about. The storehouse was a governmental entity in years of plenty under Joseph in which 7 years of prosperity (7 fat cows), farmers were giving food storage for people to buy from when the 7 years of depression (7 skinny cows ate the 7 fat cows in the vision) which people could buy from unless too poor, then it was for the storehouse to give to the poor their need for food. I hate it when a church calls themselves the storehouse. I think tithe was really just tax, because the church and government were the same in the old testament under a priesthood. In America we pay high taxes, so you may not be able to give much. I hope this helps, and on TH-cam, there are a lot of pastors saying 10% is unbiblical, which is risky for a pastor to confess their belief in this. Just hashtag '10 percent tithe unbiblical'. Keep studying on this because I don't want to mislead you, but I am pretty confident I am right with my understanding of the Bible. God bless you and let's keep studying the word as one of the few that really are, brother!
As I've been trying to understand, in the old testament, they had a tithe for the church, the poor, and the yearly feast. So, as far as I've read the new testament, I haven't read a reiteration to ask for this much but there is a church collection where you just give money for the Lord to use the church in the church's ministry. You may also give more to the poor (personally or through the church again, depending on how you're led or your understanding. Because if I give extra money to our pastor for a specific cause, it will be used for that cause, plus, I'm giving them the opportunity to help out in that cause.), and you may also shell out more money for good cheer (be it for any happy occasion or just something you see is good). Anyways, the point is, the bible actually teaches us to be happier the more we give (in any way we're able). Why? Because we were also given much more than we could ever give back, don't you think? :)
Ya helping others. God want you to give cus you want to. Not cus you are forced. But where our money is our hearts are also. Giving, helping your church family (people) is key. We are supposed to help our fellow brothers and sisters in christ when the are poor, sick need help or food. When we build up the church we build up christ through that.
Great food for thought and so inspiring. I enjoy the gift of giving to others. I feel blessed when God gives me. Thank God everyday 🙏. AMEN
Powerful message! AMEN!🙏🏽🙌🏽❤💯🥰💖

Really needed to hear this, I just got a really nice paying job, and I needed to be brought back to humbleness. Thank you.
Perfect timing then. May God bless you in your generosity. :)

This is a good reminder we need to hear every now and then especially when we're either getting financially challenged or abundant. :)

So, is this why we tithe? Or is this in reference to helping others?
