Thanks for the video! My 02 Elantra has been leaking oil on the right corner og my engine forever now going to try and get my gasket done next weekend!
“I’ve never used a Torque wrench I’ve never had any leaks…(2 seconds later) “this is where the valve cover is leaking”🥴🤣🤣🤦🏼 that was priceless… good video tho
Hey guys! After changing the valve cover and spark plugs gasket, I still noticed oil on the engine. The culprit I found to be the seal on the camshaft. It was leaking down the timing belt cover while spinning. Check that out too. Cheers.
Hey buddy thank you for the helpful video and I have a question please: I replaced the gasket myself and after I closed everything I was concerned that I might have put the spark plug gaskets upside down. I remember the cover closed easily and I was able to screw the bolts. The car is working and no engine light but still obsessed that I might put them the wrong way. It’s really tiring job to open everything back
if you think you might have put them wrong just take out each spark plug and put a flashlight down the hole and if there's oil you put it backwards but if you see oil don't freak out just clean it out and redo it it's okay
Hi man, thanks for your video. I bought the same fel-pro gasket and will replace soon because I have a spark plug well leak. How has yours kept up over time compared to the Hyundai one?
Thank brother I appreciate it and yeah I love tibs man I need to get another Elantra after I sell the honda on my latest video imma buy another Elantra
@@YouStanceBro I bought a cheap torque wrench at Harbour Freight. Original factory gasket and spark plug tube seals! The old gasket crumbled like really hard plastic. No more oil leaks!
YouStanceBro awesome I am pumped, I’m going to get the parts tomorrow and change my oil and spark plugs along with the gasket. This car has 135k miles on it and has been super reliable. I’m happy to keep it running as long as possible
Verdius Energy yeah man if you take care of them they last forever my friend has 300k I got almost 200k and everything has been great even take it on long road trips
I’ve had my Hyundai for 8 years. Has only needed some basic maintenance. Parts are inexpensive. DIY friendly car. Has 189,000 miles. I call her my little “puttt puttt” car. Hehehe. Thanks for the video!
Boy you must have magical v/c gaskets! Those spark plug seals just popped right out without any breaking, cracking or difficulty! It's too bad in real life those things are a bitch to get out and usually crack when prying up on them!
Lil Hokahman just tighten them a tiny bit or get another gasket bro it isn't really a problem unless is leaking bad I would have left mine if I didn't wanna make a video lol
YouStanceBro I actually had a valve cover leak but i replaced it with a new one now all the bolts are well tightened but it’s a lil leak from every bolt
Absolutely a great job, it’s amazing some people take 37 minutes to show what you did in less than 8 minutes.👍
Thanks man gonna do mine thia weekend. Love your Hyundai. Inspiration for my elantra.
Thanks for the vid man. My gasket was overdue and it was hardened like a rock. Easy repair.
Hell yeah man

@@YouStanceBro okay man thanks for your response. I’ll do that. God bless you
You didn't put in a new half-moon gasket or even replace the sealant on the old one. If your timing belt takes an oil bath that's why.
Hi man, thanks for your video. I bought the same fel-pro gasket and will replace soon because I have a spark plug well leak. How has yours kept up over time compared to the Hyundai one?
Where did you get that aftermarket header?
What song is this?? I can't find it! Thanks!
I just did mines thanks to this video!!
Is this the same process for a 2005 Hyundai Elantra? Also, about how long would you say this repair should take?
Great video! Hoondai looking fresh! Keep making these types of videos

@@YouStanceBro nice man, i have a friend who as the turbo elantra and its pretty fun!
Hey Frank I have the same car I'm going to change the valve cover gasket any good advice? Much appreciate
Oh one more question should I use any silicone with the gasket?
Yo.
Oil from the engine is dripping on the starter of my Elantra. Could the gasket be the issue?
Good job....gotta do this on an 06 elantra...got gasket with cam humps included for 6.50 on eBay...free shipping.
Thanks man I appreciate it and yeah it's a pretty easy job
Muy buen video me aclaro todas mis dudas

Why would you need to do that ?
Good vid man I’ll be doing this soon as well not for it leaking but just to paint it
jothamzubia cool man are you doing it on a Elantra I wanna paint mine too
Dope. Good job and good looks bro bro.
Thanks brother 👍 subscribe !!
Can you crack the cheap plastic cover bolting it down to much? I have oil leaking all around the cover on my 2005 Elantra

YouStanceBro okay thank you the problem is that the washers are old and rusty i will replace them asap
Lil Hokahman yeah bro get new ones and since they are off paint the bolts a cool color like gold or red just for fun
Good job, thanks!
Great video , need to that to mine lol
Dude your boosted ?
Good shit
I spray painted the valve cover and it came out purple xD
Install some halos
SharkX ! That's funny you say that cuz I've been wanting to for a long time and I need some new ones I definitely will brother
350z owners are jealous of where your valve cover is located including me 🤨🤪😒
Timing belt and a timing chain. Great job Korea with that horrible design. 😑
Haha very odd right should have just made a chain for the whole thing
