enjoyed this thank you, Alaska can look desolate in places, I've just spent last 10 years working my XPT TRAINS in New South Wales Australia working on long haul passenger Interestate trains as an Attendant-Conductor.. Joined after retiring from my old career in 2012 top job, loved it, few jerks enroute which is not unusal the world over. but ..
I can just see myself now, walking on a beautiful train ready to embark on a beautiful ride of such breathtaking landscape, with a bald head because of my hair disease. I guess these vacations are not for me.
Kudos to the filmmaker. for me as a Chef it would have been nice to see pictures of ALL menu items. but suppose with prices like that, one can be happy to afford ONE Penne.
Thanks! Yeah, I already got a similar comment offline a couple of times 😀. I cannot promise ALL menu items, but I will definitely try to add more food segments next time.
@@igorealism thank you.and your reply is appreciated. Especially because on OUR long distance trains the system works completely different. ( I live in Moscow, the one in Russia. Not the one in Ohio..Most of our long distance trains leave in the evening, so one can sleep. saves one night of hotel costs. and what is much to see driving hours and hours to the Tundra and Taiga. Than of course one has different - Excursion trains - . And there is lots to see. There are also trains that go from Moscow to Vienna.Or Berlin. Or Warsaw. One meets the most interesting people on trains. language was never a problem. And since i use English, German or Russian, a conversation always is possible.
I wouldn't say it was very noisy, but since most of the passengers were traveling with friends and families you could hear somebody talking pretty much all the time.
@@igorealism definitely do it. Your video popped up tonight to watch. We are off gridders that use the flag stop. We ride the train all the time. It’s amazing. If you have seen the show railroad Alaska we own Jim and Nancy James old homestead now.
For me moi (French) Forget Cities This Is Heaven On Earth Bon Nuit Merci Beaucoup Yeh Brian Ireland i will sleep Tonight 1December 23.40pm wonder will i get a reply??
Don't be a tourist is probably a good advice regardless when and where you travel 🙂 Saying this, at the end of October food was warm and the train was toasty... at least for the first 11 hours. For the last hour closer to Fairbanks, I really wished I had my warm winter boots on my feet instead of my luggage.
Your video are best super interesting,i am suscribed your chainal today on youtube, my name is Mahaveer prasad kanwariya, my country name is India, very very so much thanks you, namaste ✍️👌🤝🙏😀👍🇮🇳🌍🤝🌏💌☑️💟💗❣️
Great Start To My Christmas with this tks any wildlife??? I Wud Love to Get Lost There God wud Help Me The Irish Immigrants Went There n Worked Hard Amen to them That Are Dead Brian Ireland
We saw a moose a couple of times, but they were too far to see them on the GoPro footage. Indeed, Irish immigrants made huge contributions to building America including Alaska.
A job on the train as a cook brought me to Alaska in 1993 and I am still here.
I worked two summers Anchorage to Fairbanks as a cook on the train.
Thanks!❤❤❤❤❤❤

looks like a nicer version of Amtrak.scenery probaly a lot nicer in summer.
I would pick it over Amtrak any day and riding the same route in the summer is on my bucket list.
Bye for a While!!
Наllo meiner Tochter ist mit dem zug gefahren 🚊🚞🚉sie war begeistert 💖💖💖
Vielen Dank! Es war ein schöner Zug.
Is the train really that noisy?
I wouldn't say it was very noisy, but since most of the passengers were traveling with friends and families you could hear somebody talking pretty much all the time.
I love to hear people nTalk to them no matter where there from i wud be in my element there!
The engineers don't wave from the trains anymore, not like they did back in 1954.
Love you too, chris
Don't put the subtitles in the way you did. Those are for translations.
Hmm. If I burn subtitles in, how would auto-translation work?
@@igorealism You don't burn them. You add them when you edit before you upload.
@mynewyork165 can you show me an example of a video where it is done correctly in your opinion?
Gorgeous scenery. on my bucket list to ride this train.
It was definitely bucket list worthy. I am waiting for the summer to ride Denali Star, which is a warm weather version of this train.

hi tks for highlighting my comment n All the Best for CHRISTMAS ITS NOT JUST ONE DAY HERE MUCH LONGER
Just don't be a tourist, it's a 12 hour cold ride. Good thing , I had 2, 5ths. Cold burgers. This is at January. Stay home.
