I made this today, because our tree stand cracked after 10 years of use. This took me about and hour to cut, glue, air nail, and screw. Totally happy with this build. Awesome! Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful! I like the style. It's not chunky ...looks more delicate.
I have a project for my husband now😁. Thanks for your video. Merry Christmas!

We think this version is worth making if you have the time; the math isn't really that bad. :p We like it a lot better than the old version.

Hello. question. How large of a tree do you think this will work for?? We have bought a very large tree that is also quite wide and therefor veeery heavy and it broke our old tree stand. The tree is about 3 meters tall. Merry Christmas

Oooooohh, that is a big tree. Ours is about 7 feet (so about 2 meters) and it holds it no problem. I would think it should handle a larger tree but I would add extra screws on the pinwheel section. Maybe three in each joint instead of two. Also, make sure you use larger lag screws like 3/8" ones. You could also add a small piece of scrap wood or something else to act as a spacer between the bottom of your tree and your bowl. That would help take some of the weight. Good luck and Merry Christmas to you as well!
