But the good thing is that it's changing through years and petite models are more requested now, people want to see more real / alike models. I would love to see a video on how social media has changed modeling standards. I see so many different models these days, short, fat, curvy, black etc. I remember the petite season of ANTM it was so good!! Can you do one on child modeling too?
Thank you so much Riana! So many nice ideas, I'll try to share more info about it, including child modeling, I've been asked a lot about it recently. Awww, I remember the times when I used to watch ANTM and The Project Runway too, now it feels so nostalgic... :)
Thank you so much for this video! 💕 I’m so happy the industry is becoming more and more inclusive! After 2 years of trying I signed to my mother agency in Atlanta just last year and I’m hoping to place in other markets soon ☺️
I'm sorry to say this, but petite models rarely get booked for runway shows.... But again, there are always some exceptions depending on the models face and etc. In one of my next videos I will be talking about jobs for petite models in details and will explain everything.

I think right now getting runway jobs would be much harder even if you'd look like Devon... There are so many mixed / unique - looking models who are tall, so it's more competitive... But it is not impossible though, there are alsways some exceptions. I always say that you should always try rather than regret of not trying at all :) And btw there will be a video about most popular jobs for petite models soon.
thank you so much for this video! i’m 17 and i’m 5’6’’ (168 in) and i’m interested in modeling but idk if i’m tall enough or have the look. would i be classified as a petite model?

Hi Tatiana, recently I've been interested about becoming a model, but I'm petite. I'm 163cm and I'm 17 years old. I was thinking about doing exercise to reduce my measurements. Also I have stretch marks on my hips, shoulders, and scars on my legs. But currently, I'm receiving treatment to reduce their size. My measurements are: 93cm bust 73cm waist 91cm hips Do you think with some effort to improve my body I could become one? Sorry for the mistakes. English isn't my native language

If I'll know I will be able to give you a better advice regarding everything. And it's good to know that you're recievening scars treatment. Having stretch marks is normal, even for the skinniest people, don't worry. Again, take care of yourself, try to treat your body right with healthy food and nutrients, move more (exercising is good, just find something that will make you happy, do not force yourself to do anything you don't like) and enjoy the life. Unfortunately there are some industry standards even when it comes to petite modeling. Hi Hishila, 173 cm is quite good height, especially if you are really young and may grow a bit soon. For runway modeling clients are often looking for taller models (175 - 179 cm), but it's possible to get booked for the runway shows with your height as well. Everything depends on the market. For example, in Asian markets and local markets (the city / country where you're from) there are more opportunities for "a bit shorter" models to get booked for such jobs. And also it depends on how you look, each case is different and some models work on runway shows even when they're 170 cm tall. I've explained a bit more about fashion markets here th-cam.com/video/CG_UXUGNHYw/w-d-xo.html You can check out this video to figure out what I'm talking about. Just please remember when I'm saying this I don't want you to lose weight in an unhealthy way or anything like that. Whatever you do, please take care of yourself and your health first. And remember that you are beautiful no matter what. Modeling industry is hard, so you should always remember that this pressure sometimes doesn't worth it (if you'll start feeling bad about yourself etc). Just remember it.
