Hi Rozario , if you fishing from shore targeting big fish like GT or something else please look for a range of 5 k to 6 that's more then sufficient depending the line you use and the whole setup !

Did they changed reel foot angle comparing to the older model. Is new one parallel or angled in comparison to the shaft?

No, they are not competible. They have different design under the spool.
