My father has never given me advice about men. I guess he was my example of what not to want in a man. He was a bad husband to all 5 of his ex-wives & not the best father.

This happened to me, I've always struggled with self esteem. I laid on my back 😔 but didnt stay long. After 1 encounter I walked away because all I felt was shame and guilt. I decided that I need to focus on self esteem and improving my life. Now I have no problem walking away and 15 pds from goal weight. Starting school for my passion in fall. I'm so happy and excited, I decline more dates than ever now.
This was so needed for me today. I have experienced repeated romantic rejection from men. People don't really talk about when men reject women. What I have learned is men reject us emotionally, and I feel like that is more painful. Women reject men sexually. Men will mostly have sex with anyone, but they will be very selective about who they give their hearts to. As much as I try to believe that these men who have rejected/ghosted/objectified me are protection, It's been so constant that it has fractured my self-esteem. I mean I am the common denominator. I have done a lot of self-reflection as to why I have been attracted/entertain emotionally unavailable men... I envy those women who always have men fawning over them. I hope and pray that I will meet someone who will feel mutual desire.
Stay strong sweetie. You will know when God has sent you the right person. I too have experienced being there for someone emotionally all the time, however when the tables were turned I could not call on this person to be there for me emotionally. Personal tip: try to make sure that the person likes you more than you like them. Also do not give any goodies (materialistic or sex until he has confirmed that you are exclusive)

I did the same thing. I had to email that bad boy because we already hadn't seen each other for a month and he kept pushing time with me aside for family and friends. I was laid off from my job due to COVID and he literally couldn't take time to check on me. It's okay though - I don't have to do anything. I'm going to sit back and let the Lord deal with him in his own perfect timing. What happened to me can happen to him too, except God told me back in December to stash some cash and he lives paycheck to paycheck. I have a year's worth of expenses in my savings and only 1 debt left after the Lord also allowed me to pay off 7 other debts in 2019. He has always had my back. I don't even have to touch my savings until next year if I don't have a job based on my expenses each month. I'm taking this time to follow my voice acting passion!

This was so needed for me today. I have experienced repeated romantic rejection from men. People don't really talk about when men reject women. What I have learned is men reject us emotionally, and I feel like that is more painful. Women reject men sexually. Men will mostly have sex with anyone, but they will be very selective about who they give their hearts to. As much as I try to believe that these men who have rejected/ghosted/objectified me are protection, It's been so constant that it has fractured my self-esteem. I mean I am the common denominator. I have done a lot of self-reflection as to why I have been attracted/entertain emotionally unavailable men... I envy those women who always have men fawning over them. I hope and pray that I will meet someone who will feel mutual desire.

I too have experienced being there for someone emotionally all the time, however when the tables were turned I could not call on this person to be there for me emotionally. Personal tip: try to make sure that the person likes you more than you like them. Also do not give any goodies (materialistic or sex until he has confirmed that you are exclusive)

I did the same thing. I had to email that bad boy because we already hadn't seen each other for a month and he kept pushing time with me aside for family and friends. I was laid off from my job due to COVID and he literally couldn't take time to check on me. It's okay though - I don't have to do anything. I'm going to sit back and let the Lord deal with him in his own perfect timing. What happened to me can happen to him too, except God told me back in December to stash some cash and he lives paycheck to paycheck. I have a year's worth of expenses in my savings and only 1 debt left after the Lord also allowed me to pay off 7 other debts in 2019. He has always had my back. I don't even have to touch my savings until next year if I don't have a job based on my expenses each month. I'm taking this time to follow my voice acting passion!
