Me too i thought i was atheist she got me confused again i like the buddha teachings thats all and she blends or connects everything i feel good in so many areas of my life but i have been practicing this kind of teachings (buddha) maybe that's why little meditation flowing with life practicing more compasion doing my best to judge less and seems and feels like a more nicer life. And i don't think you have to believe in something but if you practice this teachings i am 100% sure your life will flow more easily and you will be in the right frequency loving and adding value not just to your life but the life of others and thats being enough.

They only preach with their brain. I wish they would hear you say : when you think without love, you don’t think at all!
You are authentically powerful. I praise God who created you, just a woman who is supposed to be weak.
You prove, in every thought you think and every word you say, that He is the source of your power and natural authority !

Marianne is right, many therapists are focusing too much on analysing the past or the sickness, however we must be able to distinguish bad therapy from good therapy and we must not throw the baby with the bathwater. A commitment to the light is crucial in order to transform ourselves but for many many people it is NOT enough. Just because you pray and meditate and have good intentions does not immediately mean that you begin to think and act like God. Unfortunately most people have psychological blind spots, behaviours, perceptions and automatic reactions they are not aware of. That's why we need a *good* therapist. People tend to lie to themselves and hide things from their consciousness or are simply not aware of certain patterns - that may emerge uninvited at any time, especially when under pressure. We must understand that people have a tendency to lie to themselves and hide their dark sides from themselves. So praying is not enough, if you are STILL unaware of certain parts of your personality or hiding certain truths about yourself from your conscience. And that's why we all know people who pray a lot, who meditate a lot, who believe themselves to be very enlightened but are terrible to live with or even abusive in their relationships - and they're not even aware of it. Only the willingness to become aware of our blind spots and deeply analyse our perceptions and beliefs can bring us to full self awareness..... and more often than not, this process requires an EXTERNAL observer (a trained therapist) that will be able to detect what we refuse to acknowledge. If we don't engage in such a process of deeply understanding ourselves we may fall into the trap of using prayer and our relationship with God to flatter our ego by proclaiming ourselves spiritual - while our subconscious flaws continue to create problems and pain to ourselves and others.

M -- your Q&A's are so juicy. I transcribed this key point you made last lecture on 6/13/17 Q&A. You said to the woman who asked about getting enough rest:
"Only forgiveness of self and others gives you [the rest you seek].... The Course says, 'you become generous out of self-interest.' The more you're negative, the more you criticize, the more you do all those things -- you're doing it to yourself. There's only one of us here. The Sonship is One. So if I'm having an attack thought about you, I'm actually attacking myself, and my body is taking it on."
Thank you! We can't hear this enough!

"While the body ages, the spirit does not. Enlightenment is a shift in self-perception from body identification to spiritual identification. I love Marianne Williamson’s work and love hearing her speak! This video among many, all so enlightening.
I do want to bring up an issue I saw, however, with the advice given to the last woman to ask a question, Rory. She had mentioned that she was thinking about taking her medication, adderall, which is often prescribed for ADHD. If she does have ADHD, that medication would clear and calm her mind. So saying “you don’t need stimulant medication, you need to calm your mind” is a false dichotomy stemming from a misunderstanding of how this medication actually effects people with ADHD. For a neurotypical person, it would act as a stimulant, yes, but for someone with ADHD it actually brings the brain chemicals and mental processes into balance, which results in calmer, clearer thinking.
I know this is an old video and it’s probably too late to reach out to Rory and say, wait! No, you should do both. Take your medication, and meditate. Don’t be ashamed about needing your medicine, take it, let it bring your mind into balance, and then use that improved clarity and calm to get more out of your meditation, to be able to still your mind better, so you can quiet your mind and really listen to that answer you’re searching for on whether to live in NY or LA. That’s a huge decision and I can see why she was struggling with it! Especially if she’s not taking the medication her doctor prescribed to her. If her mind is flitting all over the place because she can’t filter out external and internal stimuli (ADHD) then she’s going to have a much harder time hearing that small still voice from within. So yes, take the medication! Take the medication THEN meditate. Take the medication, THEN pray.

I do agree with Ms. Williamson's take on how making manifest lists (I tried this at one point, at the direction of brief misguidance) and just how much of a detriment they can, well, manifest themselves as in one's life.
When making unreasonable demands upon this world and one self (what some call "unrealistitc expectations", right?), if the culmination of this type of, I guess you could say "work" for lack of any better term, does not meet the individual's expectations, then nothing other than internal pain could be the result.
I am speaking from experience, thank you.

YOU AND ME AGAINST THE WORLD... Helen Reddy said that she "interpreted the song as a mother singing to a child, which her version clarified by her daughter Traci's speaking to "Mommy" at the start and end" of the track." ~ Wikipedia. Ever since I was a child, I've understood that version through the song's lyrics. It is far more beautiful and deep with that artist's interpretation.

My Current Stage of Life: 45:02 “…Because we are together, there will be a greater opportunity for you to more quickly become the person that you're capable of being; and I will have a greater possibility and opportunity to more quickly become the person I am capable of being. You will because you are in a relationship with me every morning be blessed by me. Every morning my training will be to remind you how wonderful you are. My training will be that every day to the best of my ability, I will be a space in which you can more easily recognize your own glory that you might become the man or the woman that you're capable of being.” Amen!

I really enjoy her perspective across so many subjects here. I don't agree 💯% with the idea that we simply need to be more present with our partners and with better intentions than choosing differently. I have been in an unhealthy relationship that had codependency, a real loss of self on my part and playing small in my life, all while having many signs from my partner's friends and family that it was not in alignment. I couldn't get myself right and in harmony with my passions while being with this person. Too much fell apart around us, both of our families wouldn't allow the other partner to come over. We are both too dependent on our families which is interesting, both people pleasers that need to work on our individual boundaries. She is a kind hearted and gorgeous person, but there is far too much for me to reclaim in myself and for her as well. I can't seem to do the work I need to do while being near her, on top of that she is intent and passionate, adamant about working on things and taking it further together, with marriage and the like. It doesn't make sense to me since we have been missing the mark so hard for so long. We are doing the inner work apart now since we couldn't seem to do it together. I think our connection has certainly served a purpose, it can be hard to let go, to disappoint, to give up, to be disappointed in the ending. But I trust it is for both our higher purpose. I will pay attention to my patterns and get gentle with myself, a spiritual and relationship of integrity and fulfillment is on its way. 🌟💙🌟

53:17 - 53:43 Absolutely critical!! The fundamental issue is that the modalities of adolescence are now used by grow people. Adults essentially act, speak, dress and behave like children.
Robert Bly pointed this out in his book The Sibling Society. Essentially, we grow old but we don't grow up. Hence the destructive hook-up culture, 50% and climbing divorce rate, single-mother households, "Peter Pan", weak, aimless men and massive levels of dysfunction in our children.
Responsibility is the new Counter Culture. Growing up is the new rebellion.
