Many of the legendary eateries in Bangalore like MTR, Upahara Darshini etc still serve food on Banana leaf, many countless small eateries also use Banana leaf, there is also a wide culture of eating food on another type of leaf called as Pathravali, example SG Rao Military hotel Bangalore, Hanumanthu Palao in Mysore etc(is called by different names in different parts of Karnataka).

We do that in some places of Bangladesh too! In our Bengali new year festival we serve our traditional watered rice & shutki fish in banana leaf. Although nowadays not so many people follow these traditions!

I am tamil, I understand chapathi is not traditionally in south indian meal. But If i get I love it. Its good to have one beard texture though. It’s my personal opinion

South INDIA covers kerala, Karnataka, tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. All these dishes served on banana leaf are common to all of above mentioned south indian states. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
We do that in some places of Bangladesh too! In our Bengali new year festival we serve our traditional watered rice & shutki fish in banana leaf. Although nowadays not so many people follow these traditions!
