my budgie’s best friend died recently and now its just him and my two cockatiels who are kept in a separate area. what should i do? get the budgie a new friend?

Please separate them because a mature male budgie and an immature female budgie can never make pair because when the male will try to mate with her, she might not understand anything and would become scared and would try to bite him . That's why they fight. You give them a female and male budgie of their age(1/2 weeks and highest 1 months age gape doesn't matter)they will be happy. If they hang up with each other for more time your budgie will become irritate soon and will begin to make harsh sounds. (I am telling all these from my experience . I have more than 20 budgies, so I have experienced many odd budgie problems😅😅😅) SORRY FOR MISTAKES!!!!! *********AFRA********

Just one piece of advice,don't touch the baby so young because it leaves the smell of human on the baby and not only that but also that it is a new born baby and they are very sensitive to touch.Better touch them after they have opened their eyes. :-)

I was told by people to stop letting them mate for so many weeks for tons of issues you prob know

Advice for some: soft warm squishy flooring like a folded towel for the babies not bare hard wood. Helps mom keep them warm too.
I've learned that trough years but not every budgie loves bedding inside her nest. My girls would expell all wood shaving from the nest

My budgie laid 4 eggs. The 3rd one died cos I saw the 2nd one was on top of the 3rd. The 4th egg didn't hatch. It s been 5 days after the 3rd one
My budgie also give birth to 3 budgies but I can't survive and we lost it but 2 of them are very healthy and good now the are of 23 days
