    Pricing helps with the silly big knives because they end up just hanging around at home so much but I also like that they're not cheap sketchy junk if you decide to use em.

    Love it! Huge smile factor on it.
    Given the intended use of the knife is basically offensive/defensive knife I think the lenght can really only be an advantage in situations like that. From a practical edc standpoint... Well, it fits most pockets so its not that hard to carry and as one would expect it does cut stuff.
    Disregarding the fact that its a knife its also suprisingly useful to have a tool with some reach for things like digging out that thing that just fell under the coach etc.
    The fact that cold steel didnt make it half serrated and added a wave opening feature are definatley missed opportunities both. I added a Snaggletooth wave opener thumb stud to mine it really makes the knife ALOT better

    If you haven't yet, you should check out an S-TEC 12" folding cleaver. The edge bevel is super short, so I had to put a steeper ground on it, but it's like $30 bucks... Stupid-fun giant flipper that you won't mind beating the crap out of.

    I never understood why people try to close back locks with one hand by stopping the blade at the base with their finger. I always just move my fingers out of the way and hold the release down while pushing the back of the blade against something. I usually just push against my leg. Seems pretty risky to do it the other way.

    I agree with you Bryan! Bringing that price down makes me think screw it. You get the design and don’t have to pay so much. Also better way of maximizing profit on designs getting more if it to the masses. Screw it. It is really long though and I’m thinking screw it I might get one just because it’s so big and so cheap. Thanks Bryan cause I had not seen this one yet, in the budget bracket!

    I don't have a clear answer to the next problem. I would like to know the views of those who are able to clarify this issue, which is important to many. It is clear that the longer a knife is, the more effective it is in self-defense. The question is: when you do self-defense with a Counter Point XL, does the blade enter the attacker's body to the opening element or to the handle?

    I think there are a lot of communities picking up these “big, silly, cheap” knives and standing in line for hours to get guns because they are figuring out that you can’t “...just call the police!”.

    • @dmg4415
      @dmg4415 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You COULD call the police, no problems, but You may be hearing some cheesy music, and occasionally "Thank You for waiting, You are just 646 other callers away from being nbr 1, we are sorry for that but we are out and fighting the Riots, we who still are allowed to do policing". The founders know that the government could not always protect you from enemies internal or external, so they put in in writing, it is called the 2nd amendment, I it was the 2nd to protect the 1st.

    This is what the Luzon SHOULD be.
    Cold Steel, please make the Luzon with a Tri-Ad lock. It’s stronger, and costs less than having to manufacture 2 liners and a “safety”.
    Save money by making the handle completely out of grivory, like your “lite” models. I’ll even take 8cr14mov, but don’t print “CH!N@” on the blade.
