I find my granfia to be more useful when you have a more necromantic edge to it. Diantha and spiritual body concentration let you recur your mushrooms a bunch, or grab back oranges or pulses you need to push forward. it's a much more oppressive build. and as a finisher, tide line dragons can be the surprise you need to win.

Welstra was too much for Granfia to handle he just kept nuking his board setups
I personally think for Granfia they need an order card or he needs an update to protect his Noblerose token from unit skill effects because once that token is gone it hugely lower Granfia's potential it has a major future in its life cycle as a ride lien but it heavily lacks protection it basically an all in attack deck
I think it should have an update to say this
New Granifia grade 3
Counterblast 1 all "Noblerose" tokens are protected by your opponent's protection on their next turn.
and the Norserose token update should say "If your a "Granfia' vanguard or a rearguard unit with Granfia in its name or in its text attacked this turn: remove 1 plant gauge from a "Noblerose" token to allow it to attack from the back center row this turn.
making it more balance.
