It's so much fun to listen to your pieces because you can solo over non obvious chords progressions very naturally. I never have the feeling that you are "using" scales (unlike such a big percentage of guitar players out there).

Thanks! I spend quite a bit of time coming up with the best melodies / note choices that fit over each chord, instead of just soloing 'in the key' using scales. Eventually your ear gets better and it becomes more natural to get colourful sounds out of unique progression
