Dude. Bikes....are pointless. There is no "logical" reason to own any bike what so ever. If you want to make a logical decision, go buy a camry. If you love it than that's all the reason you need to own it. The aspects of life we love, are by their very definition, the things that make life worth living. Don't sell the bike.
Tell that guy with the z1000 to make sure his Kush drive bushings are all in correctly. I had the same issue with my ZX10 after changing my sprocket, chain, and tiers and it turned out that when I got my tires balanced the shop put the kush drive in backwards so the hub wasn't flush and it caused a lot of problems.

I remember this guy signing up for a track day in the beginner group, zoofing inexperienced riders on their 300s and whatnot on his R1M way closer than you're supposed to. He cut one off so close the rider panicked and went down off track. Adobo posted the video online of the guy panicking and made fun of him. Not the same wholesome character you see on youtube.

What do yall think of this idea. I have a Texas license. But I live in Massachusetts. I'm thinking of coming back to Texas for a weekend, pass the motorcycle 2 day coarse and then go buy a gixxer 750. It will be my first bike. I will be buying it in cash. Anyway point is I plan on driving it back to Boston, MA. During covid lockdown I drove back and fourth 3x. I took 10 hours off of the gps. I drove 19 hours straight doing 70-75 the whole way till i hit jersey. Then the speed limit doesnt go above 65. I was in a lifted truck with 38s. Filled up 6x. A little background of me. I have a class b cdl with hazmat and tanker. I never been in an accident. Plan on riding back in B mode or C mode the whole way back. Can't take a safety coarse in MA cause I'm not a resident. My mailing address is Austin. I would be taking a step backwards if I went and got a massachusetts license then I have to pay excise tax every year. I would also then have to pay income tax. Another thing to consider that I wanted to mention is that it is mandatory to drive for a minimum of 6 months in Massachusetts Before taking a road test. it is also required that I drive with a licensed cyclist. But I don't know anyone so that would be a loss for me. I spoke to a texas motorcycle inspector on the phone. He said once i pass and finish the coarse the endorsement will be added to my license with no waiting period. Do you think that's insane?

I don't know about extended foot controls, I live in Germany, stuff gets approved by TUV really hard. I know 900ccm vs 1000ccm aint that much of a difference. But i really love sound and looks of Vulcan series, aaand VN800 is quite a bit smaller. And I tried to sit on Vulcan S, even with Ergofit set up for my height - it looks like I sit on a toy :')
If I was 6'8" I would be looking at the big/tall adventure bikes. You'll be so much more comfortable. Also you won't look like a monkey phooking a phootball.

Rear stands are for people who will drop their bikes because they require great skill to use. I use an ABBA stand, requires no skill whatsoever, which can get both wheels off the ground at the same time, and allow for easy rotation and movement of the bike. So much wider and more stable than a front/rear stand (which I've used). I'm not sure if the ABBA stand is a good choice for most motorcyclists, though. Your average motorcyclist wants to make life difficult and dangerous for himself (99% of motorcycle fatalities are male), and so using an ABBA stand is inferior to a front/rear stand because ABBA stands require no skill to use. Like traction control and ABS and protective equipment, motorcyclists as a whole want the challenge and expense of dropping very expensive motorcycles.
I have the same 2014 Ninja 1000 with exactly the same colour. Perfect bike. Just cat delete and you get amazing sound, comfortable ride, very good torque and fair speed. You won’t believe me but it got 95.000 miles on it and I still love it. Traction control, power control, abs, adjustable suspension. What can I ask more? I would recommend to everyone (Also it’s considered as sport touring so cheap plate and insurance)

I love the feel of sport tourer bikes just being able to sit up right and stretch a little is so nice I got a ninja 650 I literally can ride nonstop for hours usually the only I’ll stop is because I need gas or Dallas is being Dallas and I see rain coming 😂
If you want a bike thats fun all the time then get a supermoto, specifically a 2 stroke. I daily a ktm 125 and a gasgas 250 stroke and they are fun at all hours of the day and wake you right up 😂👍

you could try cleaning the gear indicator sensor. It probably just has copper contacts and theyre oxidizing. A little sandpaper could do the trick
