Thank you for making this video. As an asthmatic nurse, i have never seen this inhaler before. I was stuck and looked for help. Thank you! I armed the inhaler but couldn’t do anything as the plastic cap covering the canister was off. And the body of the inhaler was ‘stuck’ sideways. I put the cover on as you had then it all worked. Much appreciated as this is part of my covid treatment.
Hi doctor. I just wanted to say thank you for making this. I accidentally left my HandiHaler Spiriva in Dubai and am in quarantine in Taiwan, where they only have the Respimat version. I had to ask a colleague to pick it up for me and wasn't able to get instructions from a doctor or pharmacist. Your video was very helpful!
Thank you DR Stefan, It is very thorough and articulate and most importantly it is easy to follow for someone like me who are completely new to those inhaler device. Much obliged.
Thank you doctor, this video presentation was very helpful. Your instructions were great appreciate the detail instructions and your demonstration of example. Thank you for helping all of us inhaler users, especially new patients.
Thank you Dr Stanel for showing us the step by step video, It’s really save my time & the confusionfor reading all the instruction how to used. Your video are much easier to understand.🙏
Thank you for this, Dr. Stanel. I've been using Spiriva Respimat for over a year now for severe persistent asthma along with other inhalers and pills. I have a good inhaler technique thanks to my respirologist. Watching your videos helps me keep on top of things.
Thank you. I got mine . This video was great 👍 No instructions no information on how to use this so. I had to set it up all of my own which was not a problem but using it was I didn't know how to use it until you thank you ❤️I have asthma my whole entire life and I've been through every kind of inhaler and I like this one the best even though you said it's not mostly prescribed by doctors I like this one the best.
I’ve been on spiolto for five years, about a year after I was on it, I started developing all these different symptoms. My doctor did not know what was going on example, swelling in my legs staining on my ankles and feet, not being able to use my bowels properly, not been able to clear my bladder, completely coughing up phlegm sputum more than when I started uncomfortable feelings under my armpits going up into my shoulders. Just recently I can’t breathe. I don’t mean I was breathless I couldn’t breathe. I rang the ambulance and they said I was extremely dehydrated with extremely low blood pressure. They thought I’ve been out drinking alcohol I don’t drink. That was about four weeks ago since then it’s just been a pure battle to find out what’s going on all my blood tests come back perfect. As far as the swelling in the legs, my doctor said oh you’ve gotten narrowing in the femoral artery she told me to take it aspirin. She said that’s what was causing the swelling in my legs and the staining on my feet. My last symptom I got was glaucoma. I haven’t got it. I’ve been getting symptoms like it and now have to pay out money to see a specialist about it. Being frustrated with the doctors I decided to google everything all my symptoms still, I couldn’t get a pinpoint of what was going on then I thought I wonder if it’s the medication on on so I googled it spiolto and ask my Chemist she said there’s nothing there that would cause your symptoms and I couldn’t really find anything either. I decided to look at the ingredients I put the first ingredient in tiotropium side-effects and OMG nearly every symptom that was on those list I’ve had except for high blood pressure and cancer. I’m feeling a whole lot better but it’s gonna take me a long time to recover as I’m 60 now . My symptoms came under the Rare list, but I had every symptom on every list.
Were there any conclusive studies regarding the risk of death as was found in previous, various studies? A quick Google search will show the various studies showing a huge increase of death, but very few conclusive studies refuting that risk
You should point it in the video that you must shut the top lid before you twist it to arm the inhaler, otherwise it wastes a dose. When it works, it looks more like a little puff of smoke rather than a spray or powder.. And that it can take 4-8 weeks for the drug to start working !!!
I tried putting mine together but didnt have the cartridge all the way inserted and i capped it and now i cant remove the inhaler off my cylinder How can i fix it ?
hello Dr. is it fine when you press the button to take the dose there is no mist coming out? It should be with mist or no mist coming out, which one is the appropriate Dr.? After priming and ready to take the those the mist should be visible Doctor or no?Thank you
Hello, Buna ziua :) Is it more effective to use this inhaler in the morning, afternoon or before going to sleep? Example: i am going for a 10k run outside. Will it help my performance if i use the inhaler before? Also, should i use it at the same time everyday? Thanks, multumesc :)
I was told not to breath in deeply like that I just came here to see how to put the thing together how to open I don’t force things… no help you tried… I’m not Keene on inhalers period
So you have to prime it for each use, how interesting. Too bad no one told me that at the pharmacy. I've been using this for a month or thought I was but actually no medicine was coming out. Nice. I'll say this is a failure of a delivery design because you shouldn't need an engineering degree to get your medication.
Thank you for the full demonstration. Before I watched your video I wasted MANY sprays as I didnt understand the process. Now, to get better!

Hi Doctor. If the button is stuck (not pressable), is the device damaged?
You should point it in the video that you must shut the top lid before you twist it to arm the inhaler, otherwise it wastes a dose.
When it works, it looks more like a little puff of smoke rather than a spray or powder..

It won’t turn to activate?
Do I have to Rinse my mouth after the inhaler. Thanks
It's always a good idea to rinse in my opinion but probably less important for spiriva/spiolto. For corticosteroid inhalers definitely useful to rinse
