Trivia (this is not said in the light novel or the rest of the anime), but the reason the dagger just drifted away from reinhardt is because he has the blessing where no ranged attacks can hit him, he basically has a lot of overpowered blessings you can google it because it is not shown only said by the author. So the dagger could not hit him no matter what, it is a cool detail.
If anyone was confused, the reason Elsa's bladed weapon curves around Reinhart when she throws it at him at 10:29 (timecode for the reaction video, not the discussion one above) is because one of the divine protections he has causes ranged weapons used against him to always miss, Elsa threw that blade at him with the intent to kill, but his divine protection triggered causing it to miss

To explain why Reinhart had to wait for Emilia, there are magic users and spirit users. Magic users draw on mana from inside themselves and spirit users draw on mana from the atmosphere. When someone uses magic it pushes the mana in the atmosphere away. So if Reinhart used a powerful magical attack then it would push away the mana and there wouldn't be any for Emilia to draw from the atmosphere to continue healing. Everyone technically has an ability to use either types of magic it just comes down to whether someone has an affinity for it. Because of this it's possible even for a person to use both types but seeing as it's impossible to use both at the same time most people choose one.
Remember watching this show and it had me so hooked on the way they tell the story and the so called reset mechanic but boy I wasn't ready for this show had my jaw dropped numerous times. The raw reaction of the guys watching this is going to be something to behold
Remember Emilia is a spirit user so she draws energy from lesser spirits. She has her own mana TRUST ME, Reinhard was using a spirit arts so that's why he held off.

for anyone confused, the dagger that Elsa threw curved because of Reinhard's devine protection. Re Zero (anime) doesnt do the most excellent job at explaining its magic system. Basicly, Reinhard cant be hit with ranged attacks. Devine protections are like the passive abilities in mobas. Its different from magic, and some people are just born with these.
Cut from the novels: The knife missed Reinhard because he has the Divine Protection of Projectile Avoidance, which makes all ranged attacks miss. The thing that threw Reinhard off was that the insignia was lit up in Felt's hand.
Also to consider, Spiritual Arts is the magic where they take the mana from the atmosphere while other mages do have mana in their body. The Od that Puck mentioned was the gateway that changes the mana inside the body into the type of magic you cast.

If a spell that draws from the environment is cast that is so powerful that it uses all the mana from the environment, any other spell that draws from the environment won’t work for lack of mana.
You know, oddly enough, some of the lines which I thought were cheesy in the original Japanese sound better in English, even though it's usually worse. Edit: Wow, ok the dub is actually pretty good. The Japanese VA work is legendary but I think this could be good of its own accord. As usual it'd be nice to see them experience the original VA work but I'm fairly satisfied with this.
This dub is a masterpiece. Todd and Sean kill it as Petelgeuse and Subaru, seriously. Hell, I frequently find myself disturbed by how close Sean can sound to Yuusuke. And frankly, Echidna sounds sexier in English. And yes, I am specifically using sexier instead of better because her voice is really fucking seductive.

Magic is not really fully explained in the anime series, a brief intro but not explained. For example, Puck is called the [Great Spirit of Fire] but how come he uses ice like magic rather than fire? Well, Fire magic doesn't actually control fire but rather temperature, the reason Puck can use Ice is because he uses it to absolute zero instead of increasing how hot the fire spell is.

This must be the 10th time I watch this show and I just realized that Reinhart may have done his thing in this episode. I don't know if it counts as spoilers so here goes a big gap Reinhart can wish for Divine Protections Subaru said joking that Reinhart must have an ability to know when he (Subaru) is in danger. Reinhart says something like "it would be an nice ability". Seconds later he is the first to notice that Elsa is going for Subaru, then is the one that notices about the club and how Subaru should be in danger.
Elsa isn't a theif is also something to consider as to why she didn't steal it. Besides she'd probably be inclined to kill Emilia rather than just stealing.
In terms of a fight including Reinhard he will win no matter who the opponent is except for a couple of people who haven't been introduced yet... even including them its a stalemate

Yo dear Blind Wave Crew i love your videos and i know you got a lot of show recommendations and i don't even know if you at this point still read the youtube comments/recommendations or just the one's on patreon (which is totally fine youtube can be super annoying but sadly i can't afford patreon in the moment) and i feel a bit bad about giving another recommendations especially one you probably heard so so often and i hope you don't scroll over my comment after i dropped the titel becaus i don't really recommending you the show i want to recommend you a recommendation video about the show :D And that show is One Piece (again) i kinda got the feeling you are a bit scared of the show because it is so long so here is my tip: React to "The Appeal of One Piece: Where to Start" and after that maybe "Why You Should Watch/ Read One Piece" by Anime TH-camr Super Eyepatch Wolf it's a 15 and 30 minutes long video and maybe it does something to you maybe after these videos you are sure you never want to watch the show or maybe start thinking about a way to bring it to your channel and don't get blinded by the length of this show i watched many youtubers that startet this show at episode 1 and they also reached the newest episodes at some day :D also there is still lockdown and the world doesn't end that fast so time is not a thing to think about maybe someone with a link to the guys can show them my commend or a fellow OnePiece fan can post this comment at patreon or writte a similar one because "The Appeal of One Piece: Where to Start" from Super Eyepatch Wolf is really a good video and maybe you could at least react to that... Anybody who doesn't want to see endless book spoilers should avoid the comments for this series. We're on episode 3 and it's already an absolute sewer.
Most of what people are saying are only spoilers if you're going to read the book, if not, then they're not spoilers, just extra information because it's literally not mentioned in the anime and some stuff isn't even mentioned in the book either, just trivia from the author, so you wouldn't even know about it if you stick to only the anime. You need to chill. Extra information is not a spoiler.
I don't wanna hate, nor am I trying to convince them to switch to sub, but I REALLY can't get behind the dub for this show... every aspect pales in comparison to the Japanese imo, the delivery and casting both just feel off to me. The voice actors aren't bad or anything, but just all feel really generic. Script has also been dumbed down and feels a little basic now too. Just my opinion though.
Whether true or not, they have stated hundreds of times that they won't watch in sub (for any anime) because it's easier to react and edit with the dub.

i kinda got the feeling you are a bit scared of the show because it is so long so here is my tip: React to "The Appeal of One Piece: Where to Start" and after that maybe "Why You Should Watch/ Read One Piece" by Anime TH-camr Super Eyepatch Wolf it's a 15 and 30 minutes long video and maybe it does something to you maybe after these videos you are sure you never want to watch the show or maybe start thinking about a way to bring it to your channel
and don't get blinded by the length of this show i watched many youtubers that startet this show at episode 1 and they also reached the newest episodes at some day :D also there is still lockdown and the world doesn't end that fast so time is not a thing to think about
maybe someone with a link to the guys can show them my commend or a fellow OnePiece fan can post this comment at patreon or writte a similar one because "The Appeal of One Piece: Where to Start" from Super Eyepatch Wolf is really a good video and maybe you could at least react to that...

Anybody who doesn't want to see endless book spoilers should avoid the comments for this series. We're on episode 3 and it's already an absolute sewer.
Most of what people are saying are only spoilers if you're going to read the book, if not, then they're not spoilers, just extra information because it's literally not mentioned in the anime and some stuff isn't even mentioned in the book either, just trivia from the author, so you wouldn't even know about it if you stick to only the anime. You need to chill. Extra information is not a spoiler.

I don't wanna hate, nor am I trying to convince them to switch to sub, but I REALLY can't get behind the dub for this show... every aspect pales in comparison to the Japanese imo, the delivery and casting both just feel off to me. The voice actors aren't bad or anything, but just all feel really generic. Script has also been dumbed down and feels a little basic now too. Just my opinion though.
Are you...new to Blind Wave? Because they never do sub because of Aaron.

Please watch the Japanese dub because it is more emotional!
Whether true or not, they have stated hundreds of times that they won't watch in sub (for any anime) because it's easier to react and edit with the dub.
