    It's crazy how hard it is to actually buy one of these, and the hatchback is even more difficult. Honda dealerships are empty wastelands because Honda can't build them enough cars to sell, so you're looking at big mark-ups and/or non-optional packages from the dealer who's just trying to stay in business. But you can't even place an order. You just have to make a deposit and hope your dealer eventually gets an allocation with a car like the one you want (or is able to swap with another dealer). People are waiting months for just a basic Civic like this, and it's supposed to be an economy car and volume seller. My red Sport is supposed to be delivered in two weeks, but at this point I'll believe it when I see it.

    • @717PROJECT

    Don't know how I missed this video. Thought i had seen them all. Wife and i had a 94 for 10 years. We out grew and move into a mid size sedan. Until last year. We picked up a sport Touring last year. Now a little wider, just like us. It's perfect for our needs now. We got it for MSRP+ 3k added stuff but no market adjustment. I was able to put enough down to avoid gap insurance. T G. I was and am still extremely impressed with the quality, handling and ride from this car. A little concerned about a1.5t but this car is mostly for weekends, holidays and vacations. If it holds up it could be the last car i ever have to buy.

      @@717PROJECT Love the channel! keep it coming. (Now to this 11th gen civic) As soon as I saw the new 11th gen Civic right away I purchased a 2021 Honda Civic hatchback touring in sonic gray pearl which are impossible to find. Love it! The 11th gen civic from my personal opinion no longer has the aggressive look as the 10th gen. When you see a 10th gen on the road you know it’s a civic. This 11th gen, pass it on the road and you could miss it because of the simple look and confuse the car for another brand. The interior is a refresh but nothing to get too excited about for me anyway. The air vents remind me of a old classic car. Not a fan of the screen in the middle of the dashboard. Looks misplaced and a lot of manufacturers are doing that same design don’t know why. It looks cheap, feels cheap and for me a distraction. For the first time in a long time I can say just another Honda Civic.

    It looks like Honda put too much of an angled rear rake in the new 2022 Civic hatchback. It's more like a liftback and cuts down on the interior space. It would be great if Honda had a two door hatch (i.e. like the classic Acura Integra). OTOH, it's good to see that they're keeping the manual transmission option around (at least for the time being).

My 2918 RA-4 had $3,000.00 worth of add ons just to get to be as well equipped as a Honda, with standard equipment for each model. My wife's CRV got 31 mpg. My RAV-4 got 26 mpg. I like the 10th gen and have since it came out, but the 11th gen is way nicer in my opinion...probably because I like the looks of the Accord to begin with and this 11th gen reminds me of that. I don't want to splurge on a Touring if I buy one but I do think the Ex would be a good fit...only issue is that I really want it in Sonic Gray Pearl which is only on the Sport and Touring. My other issue is that if I got an EX or Touring, I know I would spend too much modifying it and trying to make it faster...the biggest plus about the Sport other than the look is that I wouldn't have a little voice telling me to modify it (at least not as much...I would do suspension, wheels, tint, but no performance).

I am waiting for the 2023 Honda Accord to trade in my 2019 Sport for. About 6 years ago I test drove a 2014 BMW 320i which was a 35,000 dollar car. IMO, the cloth on the door and seats, of the Sport, makes it not worth the money. If u plan on keeping the vehicle a long time, that stuff will wear (and stain) more easily than leather will. The only one worth buying to me is the Touring. And then even with that, ur missing lumbar support and memory seats. And then with the current market’s up charge, you’re actually in Honda Accord territory price wise. Which btw comes with all those features u would be missing (given the right trim).
    Boils down to Touring/Si Civic (if u just prefer the civic), or just get an Accord lol. But sport? Nah.

    • @717PROJECT
      @717PROJECT  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can understand where your coming from on that! The cloth isn't desirable. Stains pretty easily. In the market today I wouldn't pay over msrp but I believe at 25k is a good price considering the market! Thank you for the comment Terrance, appreciate it 🙏

    This Sport is well worth the price. The Accord is a step up in options, power andcsuze, but also price, as it's not in the same category. The Civic is a more compact package with interior and trunk room more comparable to a Toyota Camry.
    The Corolla SE was comparable to the Civic Sport Sedan, and the XSE to the Touring 10th Generation, but much less interior and trunk space, and less steering feel and driving dynamics, but this new 11th Generation Civic totally blows it away. As good and reliable a Corolla is, itno comparison now.
    That Type R is pristine and still nice. The new on may be more refined, buy this one you have in the latest version emanates what that model was designed and intended to be. Those tires are great performers, nice and sticky, but wears down fast from the soft rubber compound, imbeds and kicks up gravel and such. I know those that race them use those tires on race wheels for the track, and put more moderate all season tires on the OEM rims for the street, especially if they live in areas that temperatures go from extreme cold to hot range in the same day.
    The Si would be more of my choice if I wasstill really into performance, but the Sport us much more affordable with everything to satisfy me, especially for the reasonable price range.
    The Touring Sedan/Sport & Sport Touring Hatchback are great, and sovare my fsvorite colors, but I still thing the Aegean Blue Metallic Sport sedan is justcstrinkingbas is, despite the lack of the perks of the Touring. I like the body styling, taillights, etc, and all the essentials. Near perfection and simplicity, with the reliability and longevity of that N/A Sport 2.0L engine.
    And I didn't like it when I saw the first concept drawings, and now I love the design aesthetics.
    Happy Outstanding Nice Driving Anytime. 😊

    I've owned several Hondas in the past and sold them for years.
    But, I don't care for this mundane design. When pics came out a year ago, my son and I traded our Mazda 3's for two Gen X's immediately. Otherwise, I find the driving characteristics to be identical. If anything, I've read that the Gen XI is a bit slower. Why? Is it heavier?

    • @717PROJECT
      @717PROJECT  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I definitely didn't like what I saw when the pictures first came out for the 11th gen. When I pulled up and saw this blue one and for the money they gave me for my 17, I couldn't pass it up. I think it might be a tad bit heavier but not much. I have the 2.0L, it is slower than the 1.5T so I can't compare those. I haven't driven a 10th gen 2.0L to be able to compare those 2.

    Been spending weeks figuring out whether to snatch this Honda Civic sport or a Mazda 3. Finally decided to get the Mazda 3 carbon edition!!! Totally worth the few extra thousands for all the extra features! This is still a great car but I felt it was stripped of a lot of features. For example, 2022 Honda Civic sport in Canada comes with blind side, moonroof and heated seats. Felt this US model really falls short. Don’t get a power driver seat unless you get a touring trim? What a joke. Honda really needs to learn how to add nice premium package options to multiple trims like other manufacturers are doing.

      Nice! Congrats on the new car! I agree! Wish more options came with different trims.

      @@mossmiller believe me. I still am considering it. Price is much more attractive, the black wheels look nice on the Sonic Gray, the interior is still nice enough. It's still not out of the question. I'm just at a point where I know I'm going to drive the car forever and I wouldn't mind having the leather, the wireless charging that the sport probably won't have and all those things. Sport would be the smart buy because that 2.0 I think will run forever literally

      The biggest downgrade is the engine on the 11th gen Sport. Fogs are falling away on cars. The Type R doesn’t have them. I don’t think any of the 2023 Accords have them.
