Southbound - Ep 03 - Vanlife, and massive Sea Lions in Valdez, Alaska | Overlanding the Pan-American

- Starting near Whittier, Alaska, Famagogo Takes the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry System to Valdez, AK, aboard the MV Aurora. This wonderful journey allows access to parts of Alaska that can’t be seen without a boat. It’s a vanlife cruise ship. Truly the best of both worlds. Once in Valdez, they explore the marina as a wonderful resource for van travelers for laundry and showers. They then make the short drive out to Soloman Fish Hatchery and discover loads of Salmon and some very hungry Sea Lions. This seems like the perfect day of exploration, and then they meet a Black Bear just down the road. Once leaving Valdez, they drive up into the dramatic Chugach Mountains and quickly get lost in the thick blanket of fog where they spend the night just off the Thompson Pass road.

Hi, we did a very extensive tour on the Olympic Peninsula and Vancouver Island last year. If you look back on our channel you will see those videos. We do love it there. But, I'm not sure we will make it back over this year. There are so many awesome places to explore.
