Ola Englund and Tom Englund same famíly?
This is actually an interesting study in *Swedish dialects and accents*, for any one who isn't Swedish.
Even though the interview is in english, you can CLEARLY hear the differences between the westcoast *Gothenburg* accent (Henrik) and the *Stockholm* accent (Ola)
(Sorry for the nerdy comment. Languages, dialects and accents are just incredibly fascinating to me...)

Seeing you Ola mentioning that the riff of 'More Than Ever' is one of your all time favorite riffs and then seeing Henrik playing it really gave me goosebumps and brought tears in my eyes... One of your best episodes. This show is one of your best works but this episode in particular made me feel like watching it again and again.
Never heard of this guy but I saw his signature guitar for sale and really like it. I had to Google him and it brought me here. I still want the guitar lol
With the obvious (and justified!) admiration for Evergrey, I think Ola Englund should invite Tom Englund!

He avoids interviews it's said, however there are a few in text I've read in Swedish - the best chance to get a video one is probably in connection to his next solo-album I'd think.
I saw Evergrey with Children of Bodom & Iced Earth in 2004, and it was my first contact with Evergrey. I was blow away by the solos & tightness of their band. A Fan since \m/
His solo on King of Errors is awesome.

If wearing through standard tear-drop shaped picks is a problem, try switching to triangle shaped picks. I love Clayton 1mm triangle picks. They're like having 3 picks in one.

I love henrik, he’s chill but sarcastic just like Tom englund. That’s what I always loved about Evergrey. They got such silly personalities but are amazing musicians.
Amazing player, saw Evergry last night in Helsingborg, they are so good, played forever, they really had it going last night, happy like small kids on stage. They really fired up the crowd. Henrik even lost it a little and shots away a couple of plectrums :-) He was feeling rich.
One of my all time favorite players from one of my all time favorites. A hugely underrated band and guitarist in the states. Thank you, Ola.

As Ola mentioned, Henrik is definitely underrated. And so is, in my opinion, Evergrey. Great band with so much vibe, emotion and aggression.

This is AWESOME. Evergrey is one of our favorites. BenFo got to meet Henrik when they came around a few months back. He's one of Sweden's best. "More Than Ever" is one of the heaviest songs ever!!

Henrik and Tom of Evergrey are both phenomenal players who always seem to hit the right notes at the right times. INCREDIBLE phrasing, tone, and vibrato. Jonas, Johan (pinkies out), and Rikard are all tops as well! VERY cool dudes too! GO SEE THEM when you can! BUY THEIR MUSIC!!!!!

I missed out on the peak of heavy metal in the 80s/90s but Evergrey and Nevermore were releasing incredible albums in my lifetime so they hold a special place in my heart. Loomis gets some of the credit he deserves (Still not enough) but as you say Henrik and Tom are completely underrated as guitarists etc. Really appreciate this interview.
Definitely evergrey and nevermore are the best of the best, i listened to many bands through the years, but some bands stick with you for a very long time, not because of media or youtube or social shit, but because they are very good, with strong music, composition, and great solos, i was pretty amazed by james murphy too , because of his many contributions with the most important bands back there, and when i found that he has a solo project, i told to my self why jeff loomis didn't do something like that, and after his departure from nevermore (and i knew that nevermore couldn't exist without him) he made it.

Fantastic guitar player! First Evergrey song, that I heard was The Ambassador and I was huge fan of Evergrey ever since. Had pleasure to see them play live once, but it was a gig of a lifetime! Rock On!!!

Been a huge fan of Henrik and Evergrey since early on. I’ve even been subscribed to his channel forever. Such a brilliant guitar player! Their live DVD is one of the best live shows out there.
Best Coffee with Ola ever!! Henrik is such an underrated guitar player! When is part 2 to be released? :-) I could watch the both of you discuss just about anything forever. Two purely likeable human beings that happen to be also great guitar players at the same time.

Great interview I'm an enormous fan of evergrey one of my favorite bands and yes you may is also one of my favorite guitar players. Just wanted to let you know some of the best playing advice was from Yngwie and he told me to play with my ears not play by ear. And if it sounds right it is right.
