I build boats for a living 25 plus years so far. We build from 40 foot to 65 foot. I couldn't imagine building and the amount of time it takes to build one of these yachts. ❤

In your next project, you may want to elaborate further on why many owners choose to convert existing explorers, over buying new yachts (usually they have a longer range, and are more durable, particularly their hulls).

I've been following the industry before John Staluppi's Octopussy: by Heesen, an over 50mph yacht to beat the King of Spain, The Trump Princess, formally named Nabila, Now Kingdom 5KR. I am very familiar with all those yards and your information was correct. Wish you'd swung by Royal Huisman for a peak at Special One, anyway it is at MYS this week. The largest sportfisher in the world. 171 Length 70 mil, 29kn. Thanks Rock
I was a marine tech for the last 55 years. Watching the new marine engine release's each year and the styles and profiles of hulls you could see and understand how and why they cost so much. The word " Boat " stands for. Bring Out Another Thousand. but in these case's it would be another million. It would be nice to own a big boat but with it comes the maintainence and all associated cost's.

I'm inclined to think that a large portion of the yacht is built elsewhere by various subcontractors. As far as I know, no shipbuilder makes their own engines.
If I had one of these boats I'd have one section made in a big banquet room and one thing I'd do is invite a big name band to to come aboard and party and play for good friends and family.
