Solid breakdown! I've been waiting patiently for mine to arrive from across the country, can't wait.

Excellent! Let me know what you think and share what you make with it! What color did you get?

@@BasementArcade I went with the yellow, as I'd never really seen anything quite like it. I've had it for about an hour now and the range of sounds this thing is capable of producing is mindblowing! I was worried about it being too limited but after playing around with the settings I don't think I'd need to worry about that. I love how it seems as musical as it is capable of making wacky scifi sound effects, both are extremely useful to me! I'm really eager to hook it up to some modulation pedals and see how much further that take it. So first impressions, I am in love with the Septavox and anticipate using it very often for all kinds of stuff. It feels like a deluxe, tweakable metal casio in the best possible way.

Wow, no comments? I just got the black version of the Septavox after watching Jack Lawrence's video on TH-cam doing a song called "Silver Flying Machine." Everything you said about the Septavox is dead on the money; it's a fun and easily accessible synth that's great for traveling. It's also a blast to run through some effects--some of the sounds are just amazing with a giant reverb.

At the time of me writing this, Eventide just released a new reverb pedal (blackhole) and I'm dyyyyying to try it with the Septavox.

There are a few DIY utilities that you can build like the midipal/midigal/midibro which allow for the polychaining of synthesizers that don’t support it.
Also, I haven’t really heard shit about this since it came out. I know these are marketed to the trendy demographic that teenage engineering markets to, but my god, I love yellow synths.
