Thank you soo sooo much. My first 4 days of mewing I got 4-6 hours of sleep compared to my usual 10. Since I was sleep deprived I the hit the curb with my parent’s car. Can’t lie that was today.
That part about the sleeping posture was super interesting, I always assumed that that posture only came about with the creation of soft sleeping surfaces and that the natural sleep posture was facing up, i’ll look further into this, cheers mate
Another tip is use saline nose sprays! This has been such a big life changer for me because I can breathe through my nose much easier. I spray my nose basically hourly. It is drug free so you can use it whenever you want.
for sure. i've also used nasal strips, but since mse my nose is like a hallway lol. no more gadgets necessary, although the deep winter will put it to the test. thanks for commenting bud.
@@JawHacks Im thinking about getting MSE sometime in the future myself. My palate is around 42mm so its not terrible. I suspect to increase my nasal breathing quite a bit after treatment but I would mainly be doing it for increased aesthetics. I was wondering if you could share the cost of the MSE with me so I know how much money to save up. Also the cost of the SFOT treatment you are doing for mandible expansion as well. I've been back-sleeping on a firm matress and it's working really well for me. I find that it's kind of like a full body stretch and once I have a proper oral vacuum I can easily mew throughout the night. My overall body posture has also benefited from it. The thing I dislike about side sleeping is that you're squishing one side of your face for 10 hours straight which causes wrinkles and causes that side to be slightly flatter.
@@JawHacks My right cheek is flatter than my left cheek. Ive been a side sleeper since my teens and now at late twenties i want to be a back sleeper because is causing me slight wrinkles and even a more assymetrical face because of uneven loss volumen on my face. Conclusion dont do it or buy a side pillow to prevent this.
I thought I was supposed to be on my back flat surface and no pillow. Didn't you yourself make a video on how to sleep on our backs? I mean my natural sleeping was similar to what you describe here including the hand under the pillow. I have already gotten rid of the pillow but still sleep on my side.

yes i think mouthtaping has a great effect but i personally hate doing it (3m micropore) and no longer need to it since expanding with MSE. thanks for sharing.
Naw mouth taping doesn’t work for me i have been using for 2 months and it did keep my mouth shut but when i took it off i just went back to my old habit

I have tried to sleep on my back for over a year to sleep with better posture. With no pillow but a little support for my head and a neck brace. And when I go to sleep I put a tic tac on my tongue and keep my tongue at the roof of my mouth with usually little problem. I know it works for me, because when I wake up on my back my tongue still at the roof of my mouth. I am interested in trying the tips mentioned in the video. Thanks.

My right side of the face has less a developed jaw and cheekbones, forehead slopes backs more , right eye is droopier and whole the right side of face is less “foward” than my left side. Should i apply more pressure to the right side of my palate? I feel like i am applying pressure evenly but i could be doing something wrong. I only been mewing for 7-8 months but it seems like my right side of the face is not changing. What should i do?
Same problem, I figured the braces ruined it for me but who knows. Mew harder on your right side, it’s very hard because because you are way more conscious doing it. Also do stretches for the right side of your face. Stretch the back of your neck, that will balance your face as it’s all connected.

This has worked for me well. Results are not crazy but certainly noticeable. Took me about 6 weeks to fully get into this sleeping habit but it became natural to do after a while. I recommend this technique if you can be bothered.
How you do it with the legs? I can't sleep both stick together and I need a pillow in between or one leg behid or forward from the other one so they both don't touch while sleeping, also is hard for me to sleep because im to tall and my bed is quite small lol
Note this. Just because you're waking up with the tongue on the roof of the mouth doesn.t mean you.ve been sleeping like this the whole night. Before you wake up you are in your REM stage (most people can remember dreams before they wake up) and there is also a slight increase in consciousness right before where you get to remember mewing. So you can still sleep with improper tongue posture without knowing it and then regain proper posture because of the habit as you wake up.

S P: Well DHT which is responsible for male pattern baldness, is produced with low amounts of blood in the scalp. Increasing blood flow to the head slows/reduces hair loss. I stopped using the pillow as I found that just doing it without a pillow was enough. Look into the relationship between blood levels and DHT production. Also look at derma-rolling.

Is there any kind of mouth item or retainer that isn't extreme like in orthodontics that just holds the teeth together? I've never had a problem with my tongue, that's always on the roof of my mouth. I've done Mewing for 5 years but have seen very little progress other than being able to keep my front teeth balanced together most of the day. There are still huge gaps between my side teeth, so when I fall asleep my jaw falls back into the overbite. This video had zero solutions for my problem and that's disappointing. I keep seeing tons of videos about tongue posture but nothing about maintaining teeth balance, which is just as much a problem. So why are there not proposed solutions?
I’ve done all of these things almost my whole life but I still don’t have a defined face:( I’ve got to wear Invisalign and I’m afraid mewing might widen my jaw so that the aligners won’t fit anymore. Happened to me already and it is just too expensive
Umm...I mean the structure of the upper palate is curved so it's gonna support your tongue from totally leaning on the other side but your tongue surely will not stay in the exact position you want it to

@@Joselyn548 its tough to say that is due to sleeping or genetics. Most people toss and turn, so they aren't on one side the whole night.
Have you considered getting a pillow cover made of silk? Silk doesn't make wrinkles on the skin. There is people who use silk to prevent this.

How did you manage to get MSE? I have asked two dentists and they both declined my request of getting a palatal expander even tho i’m recessed.

Guys my advice to make sleeping like this more conveniently is to have some thing to hug at night you dont need a weird bead or a weird back pack

Been side sleeping since birth. No assymetries. Your body will naturally move around ever night, you dont stay on the same side the whole night.

Umm...I mean the structure of the upper palate is curved so it's gonna support your tongue from totally leaning on the other side but your tongue surely will not stay in the exact position you want it to

I found that while you sleep on the back you should put pillows under your legs and a towell under your neck instead of a pillow
My tongue is on the roof of my mouth while sleeping but my mouth keep opening because of that my sleep gets disturbed every moment as conciously i constantly keep my mouth close
