Hermoso concierto. Un Requiem sin voces ni palabras.
The introduction of this concerto, the first chords, resembles someone learning to play the violin, like an exercise. I don't know if this was Berg's purpose.
Tres beau concert, c'est dommage que ces grands musiciens n'aient pas le sourire, on dirait qu'ils souffrent de jouer, il sont presque grimaçants David Garrett sourit naturellement, il a plaisir à jouer, il se délecte de bonheur et cette joie est contagieuse.
I would say that they are serious looking because they are very focused on their instruments which is good. David Garrett on the other hand is intentionally trying to make his facial expressions look happy and excited to connect with the audience as an entertainer. It’s two different styles and I wouldn’t say one is better than the other but they are different things.
We people are so different... To me, this kind of music shouldn't be joyful. It's very beautiful, but makes me concentrate into the deep and dark colors of it. Whole orchestra is very good, but of course everybody has their own opinion. 👍
