      @@69elchupacabra69 Hello, I think it is about the ability that some people have to appreciate with true courage and feeling the artistic expression of people like this great violinist. It is also important to mention that adults are more open to enjoy without prejudice, this is something that other artists and young people of this time often do not have the ability to do.

    Augustin brings out such incredible beauty and drama in this wonderful concerto! From the tentative dreaminess in the beginning to the sounds that remind me of a battle march and a lament, later on, Augustin plays it all so beautifully and evocatively!! I am fascinated and drawn into a magical place by his playing - something about this musical story is glittery and shimmering for me; it reminds me of a fairy tale or a dream, including the scary parts that can be a part of those things. Some of my favorite mesmerizing, gorgeous little details are at 6:30 (such finesse!), 12:50 (love how he plays this seductive theme!), and 14:10 (his playing on the violin morphs seamlessly into the piccolos - amazingly beautiful to me) Augustin's harmonics throughout this piece are just incredible, including some double stop ones - how? Augustin does it again!! So wonderful! I hope to hear him play this live soon!

      really, Dmitrij ? What about Stravinsky, Berg, Bartók No.2, Prokofjev No.1 (and 2), just to stay with Violin Concerti ? Prepostorous - reminds me of what Nietzsche - nastily - said of Brahms : "Die Melancholie des Unvermögens"...!

      @RichardASalisbury1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@simonwong2738 I agree about those two, except that I would add Bartok, and Stravinsky (even though I dislike, or find "empty," a lot of his work; Britten and Stravinsky disliked each other's music intensely). Personally I too rank Britten's vln. cto. among the greatest of Century 20, along with Bartok's 2nd, Berg's, Shostakovich's two, and maybe Prokoviev's 2nd.
