    "I'm not a person. I'm not a bird. I'm not even a food. I don't know what I am."
"You are what you have always been: My brother."
Fun Fact: This was the fifth pairing of Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek.
Sword Art Enthusiast Fact: At one point, Puss (Antonio Banderas) uses his sword to pop the cork on a bottle of champagne. The art of opening a champagne bottle with a sword is called Sabrage.
Spin-Off Fact: A conscious decision was made to make the world of Puss In Boots (2011) very different from that depicted in the "Shrek" films. In the latter, the backgrounds and stylizations are very fairy tale. Here, it has a distinctly Spanish feel with warmer, more orange colors.
Deep Cut Reference Fact: One of the women of San Ricardo describes Puss' boots as being made of soft, Corinthian leather. This is a reference to the Chrysler Cordoba commercial of 1975, wherein Ricardo Montalban noted "rich Corinthian leather" when describing the seats. Montalban costarred with Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek in Spy Kids 3: Game Over (2003).

Fun fact: the chupacabra is a mythical vampire-like creature that roams the countryside at night and terrorizes villages in Central and South American folklore.

@@ariachanson01 In terms of science fact, they believe the idea for the creature came from coyotes suffering from a disease called mange, which makes them look more fierce and dangerous. I feel sorry for the critters because they are dying in agony and wasting away.

Chupacabra is a type of Latin American vampire that drinks the blood of goats (it's name means goat sucker).

Aria, if you enjoyed Antonio Banderas' voice in "Puss In Boots," then you will REALLY love him in "The Mask of Zorro." It also stars Catherine Zeta-Jones and Anthony Hopkins. The film is like a modern interpretation of a 1930's/1940's Errol Flynn swashbuckling high adventure with lots of sword fighting, daring deeds, big stunts, and, of course, explosions.

Hello, check out a movie called, 1492: Conquest of Paradise.
Adventure/Drama (1992). It stars Gérard Depardieu, Siqourney Weaver, Armante Assante. It portrays a version of the travels to the New World by the Italian explorer Christopher Columbus and the effect this had on indigenous peoples.
Directed by Ridley Scott. Thank you, Chris.

🐱👍 All four of Dreamworks Animation's major franchises ("Shrek," "Madagascar," "Kung Fu Panda" and "How To Train Your Dragon") are films that everyone should watch, but many of their one-offs are equally as great. I highly recommend "Over The Hedge" (2006), "Flushed Away" (2006), "Monsters Vs Aliens" (2009), "Megamind" (2010), "Rise Of The Guardians" (2012), "Turbo" (2013) and what I think is the most underappreciated one of them all, "Mr. Peabody & Sherman" (2014). It's always a lot of fun watching animated features with you.
