So many, many memories of this train which was earlier from Mumbai cstm. Have travelled a lot from cstm to ekm jn. Vada Pav at Karjat, Maganlal Chikki at lonawala,cakes or pastries at Pune, bedsheets purchase at Solapur, Idli,Vada at Renigunta, Lunch at Guntakal, Rose Milk at Guntakal, Dinner at Jolarpettai, in between lots of fruits especially Peru in Andra. Kadapa stone for chapati making at Cuddapah, so on... . Train late means more fun... what a period. With full family..... gone are those days... 😢😢

Memories of Family, Togetherness, Talking about so many things, eating often a lot of variety, sleeping, walking on the aisle,getting down with Dad holding us and asking if we need anything to eat or drink,.home made breakfast , lunch and dinner which mumm y used to serve all.that food used to be so tasty and always wanting more,.....eyes have gone moist.... just beautiful Memories. As sr4865 already pointed out, was nice to see many parts of AP/Rayalaseema green, and the Chitravathi river outside Kondapuram railway station curve full of water. The Gooty - Kadapa stretch used to be much more arid earlier. Also, the 130 kmph MPS goes to say how much SCR has done here from a single line earlier to an FEDL with 130 kmph. Wow :)
Well this video revived lot of memories of past journeys by Kanyakumari Express 1081 Dn. Guntakkal junction break-fast Mantralayam road waterfilling- Kadapa Lunch almost similar pattern. Thanks for this presentation

Thanks for Jayanti janata compolation, it refreshed my childhood memories. We used to travel from palakkad to kadapa in this train and back. Earlier it was till mumbai cst. But it is short termated to pune now. Hope central railways will take back this decision. Thank you❤

I remember the Rock mountains nearing to Guntakal Junction, lots of monkeys. In Gooty Junction, we could see to and from Kanyakumari exp if both trains arrived on time.
I think for going to Swami Raghvendra Mutt, one must alight in Mantralaya Road. We used to get good toddy near the Station where people used to get it.

I think its only train 🚆 from Kerala connecting the north Karnataka yadgir, raichur,kalburgi etc. The black soil is prominent in Deccan plateau and suitable for cotton pulses etc

Railway train ticket advance booking should be reduced to 10-15 days in advance. 60 days in the 2G era. 30 days in the 3G era. Now is the 5G era. 10-15 days before booking is plenty. End the waiting List Era. RAC type ticket alloting is the biggest drawback in railway ticket booking. RAC booking should be closed. RAC is in a situation where sleeper ticket is paid full amount and does not get any benefit.
15 days is too short. Remember there are people traveling with families, there are holiday seasons, etc. The railways has reduced ARP to 60 days now, which is a welcome move.
I was a regular traveller in this train along with ers sf till this may. I have started hating this train because of its bad cleanliness or else this train is the one which gave me good memories 🥲. Earlier this train used to run with 3-4 ac coaches when it was a part of cr during 20's till 2010. And how was the cleanliness in this train journey till tsr?

This Jayanthi Janatha was the only one train from Kerala ( Cape) to CSMT, which had curtailed upto Pune. But no body had made any protest for this.
Hardly anybody uses this train to travel to Mumbai. There are many faster options now. This train is largely used by passengers from Andhra to Kerala.

Jayanti doesn't operate via dharmavaram. That is the CSMT Nagercoil express that goes via DMM PAK

I think Sand is filled in sans box for effective braking . Sand creates friction which inturn helps in braking
Sanding is NOT used for braking. It sprayed on tracks when there is loss of traction due to wheel slippage

ഇത് ഇപ്പൊൾ തന്നെ നല്ല തിരക്ക് ഉള്ള വണ്ടി ആണ്. Kadapa സൈഡിൽ നിന്ന് കേരളത്തിലേക്ക് ഉള്ള ഏക വണ്ടി. ഈ വണ്ടി ബാംഗ്ലൂർ വരെ വിടേണ്ട ഒരു ആവശ്യവും ഇല്ല.

Jayanti Janata is not an official name. Had it been. Janata exp, it wouldn't have had AC coaches at all. CSMT is a closed chapter for this train.
