The best of the tec rifle: you can shoot underwater!!! No other rifle does that.
Very useful for an overview of how each fires, but since I play single player, PVP doesn't matter to me so I was more curious about usefulness to dinos.
You forgot one, the rocket launcher.

Ive been playing Ark for several years and you explained the weapons very well. I didn't know too much about them because I play single or PVE. Thank you so much. Can you do one on turret settings for guns and tames please?
What about the stone crossbow arrows that are made in the smithy
Should test if they enabled the armor penetration to the fab sniper/longneck. It was in the patch notes on ASE but they removed it because apparently people were using them to destroy metal foundations but it shouldn't be an issue now...
When I was in VVV on ps4 I used compound bow, shotgun, crossbow with grapples, bolas. Compound bow is so amazing in wars ❤

Another thing for the tek rifle is that there is no good blueprints for them available yet.
You can dump tranq arrows faster with a bow than with a xbow, yes. But tranqs all deal torpor over 5 seconds, so you always want to space your tranq shots out by 5 seconds, or else you are dealing extra damage to something you aren’t trying to kill, not to mention wasting ammo for no reason.

I personally find all guns to be underwhelming outside of the pump shotgun.
Do the compound bow bypass tek armor?
I found out if you use a silencer on fab pistol, and you shoot a critter in the cave, only that critter and its species will agro and come to you.

Your numbers are definitely different from official
The fabricated pistol is useful insomuch as the ammo is essentially free. As long as you're hitting up supply drops, you're going to accumulate bullets for it. I use it constantly to ping things, and in spite of mag dumping all the time, I still have hundreds of bullets. Meanwhile the assault rifle shakes all over the place and has probably the least efficient ammo for resources used. The fabricated pistol only beats the simple pistol in terms of DPS because it has twice the rounds per reload, sightly better rate of fire, and way faster reloads.
You said the revolver is enough to "get you off your feet"...

Fab pistol has low recoil and cheapest ammo per damage with very good dps. Assault rifle plus shadowsteak makes it laser. Also very high dps

None of these weapons use clips they all use mags
The generic pistol has 13 rounds in the MAG it doesn't have a clip and it's definitely not a waste of space they are actually very good early game
of the many mistakes you make in this video the tek rifle has got to be the most disappointing. You will find if you were to actually shoot it at something other than a dummy it has a range equal to render distance. The reason it doesn't hit the dummy is because its a structure, obviously if a weapon that can damage any structure in the game could at any range then there would be no such thing as defending. Hence why none of the other weapons damage structures besides the rocket launcher, which you missed and the rockets get shot out by turrets.

Magazine or mag, not clip. For God's sake please stop saying clip. it makes you sound stupid. The thing that holds bullets in your gun is a Magazine. A clip is what girls wear in their hair.

Just the added point at the end of his comment made it feel extra condescending, like if I replied and went “The magazine doesn’t hold bullets, it holds cartridges, and those hold the bullet.” People knows what he means when he says clips, so it really doesn’t matter I feel.
