I saw Micky at Lynbrook HS about 1966, he was visiting a classroom, with teacher host, with a white turtleneck sweater on, LOL...and signed autographs for screaming kids. Thanks.
Great vocalist. Micky was very underrated as a singer. And Mike was very underrated as a songwriter. The Monkees should definitely be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Born in 1958 in a Spanish speaking country, I first enjoyed The Monkees TV show, which was dubbed into my language, long before I discovered The Beatles. I started taking piano lessons at age 11 and credit the guys from Liverpool as my inspiration to become a musician, but The Monkees have a very special place in my heart, with Micky Dolenz being my favorite Monkee. Blessings from San Juan, Puerto Rico 🇵🇷.
I love the Monkees and to me, They were a big part of my childhood and my adulthood because it came out in syndication and to this day, I still find Myself stopping Everything I'm doing and watch the Monkees and Mickey Dolanz is a Big part of that.
Monkeys were a feel good band to me for their upbeat Music and comedy!!!! Just being goofy and having fun!!!! Love the Monkeys!!!! I saw them twice once with three out of four of the Monkeys including Mickey, Peter and Davie!!!! They were the headline band for Hermits Hermits, grass roots and the union gap at Wolf trap amplitheater in Northern Virginia!!!! Then saw Mickey only as a tribute to the Monkeys in VA beach Va!!!! I hope He plays again in VA Beach!!!!
Oh boy. That's some serious phlegm, Micky! I was ten years old when the Monkees series debuted, and glommed onto it immediately, having had very little previous exposure to this kind of music. I went back and forth with my loyalties in the silly controversies about "favorite Monkee", but now I can confess certain preferences: Micky, best actor (despite the annoying Cagney impressions), best singer; Mike, best songwriter, second best singer; Peter, best musician, second best actor; Davy, best English guy, best dancer. What the hell. I loved the show, and I still love the records, and I would still love to see the boys inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, with Mickey accepting for his brothers in arms.
Circus Boy had some top stars, that Micky worked with. He must have some good stories about that show, (if he can remember), during his youth. Sterling Holloway, Noah Beery Jr (Rockford files in later years), Billy Barty, Anthony Caruso, Andy Clyde...
I remember when he, Mike and Peter were playing the Chicago Theater. He was struggling to put on the tablecloth poncho costume for Randy Scouse Git when his when his hat flipped off putting his head thru the hole, showing off his hairless head. Mike quickly quipped, “Don’t worry folks, nothing to see here.”
@@kaztouch1 Micky is bald? Mike and Peter were obviously dealing with receding hairlines for many years, but I never saw Micky bald. Maybe that's why he was slicking his hair back in the 90's.
@@ronfowlermusic he always wears a hat now. I call it the Mike Love hair club for men. If you lookup the play hairspray (not the movies) you will see Micky in all his hairless splendor. Not that there is anything wrong with that. I’m follickly challenged myself.
Last living monkey. And it is sad hoover f.b.i was investigating these four trying to find dirt on them. When they were just young guys trying to make a living in the 60's. Laugh is for them four guys. Because the mafia had dirt on Edgar hoover caught in the nude and acts with his male lover. Hope his lawsuit is going well he and lawyer filed on f.b.i. R.I.P. Davy, Peter and Mike and great to see that Micky is still with us.

Always loved Micky he's such a great guy. Glad he's still here with us.

What didn’t they get in the rock and roll hall of fame?? ☹️
It was a good interview. I’m glad I saw it even though I know most of the answers to the questions.
I love Micky. I met him at a con in Florida. He was awesome. Many blessings for years of music to come.❤
I got to meet him 2 months ago after a show. I'm glad he's still around.. 😁
Micky is just such a nice guy and so talented. I grew up listening to the Monkees and wanting to be like Mickey!
I'll be seeing Micky next May on his Songs and Stories tour. Really looking forward to it! 🙂
Met Davey twice up in Snyder County Pennsylvania where he had a horse farm.Real nice guy no ego and each time chatted for about 15-20 minutes

Micky had the energy of a teenager at the end when he got up and left so abruptly 🤣😆😅😂 and Poof he was Gone!

The Monkees forever
Of every possible question that could have been asked, what an entirely vapid stupid last question," Did you ever get to drive the Monkee-Mobile?"
But we got a great story out of it.
I noticed Micky has been coughing a lot in his latter interviews. Hope he is alright.
Poor Micky. Sounds like he had one hell of a cold.

I wish he would take off the big hat and the sunglasses. He doesn't need to hide, it's okay to grow old. It's better than the alternative.

The show had it's moments, but it really wasn't THAT good...
