How cold anyone not look up to each of the Monkees!!! For a thrown together group they were fabulous. My hubby and I bought our 1st TV so that I wouldn't miss their show each week. lol! As newlyweds we went to Sears and told them we wanted to establish credit, bought our TV and had $9 a month payments on it. Those were the good old days! Wishing Micky the best!
He was always the FUN Monkee to me when I was a child. I am feeling so nostalgic right now - geez, we all grew up during a great time on earth, didn't we?
@@ScottsdaleSushi boy we sure did! It seems like things were just better then. And the monkeys had music even my mom approved of! Can’t say that now. Not a lot out there that’s mom approved!
I love the monkees! I never missed a show and had all their albums. Loved them all but Mickey was my favorite. Brings back so many great memories of my childhood and all the fun of this show. Mickey is an incredible person, performer and philanthropist. It’s so great that he gives back. ❤. The fact that he stayed friends with his ex wives says a lot about him. What a great guy. He’s aged well-and I think that comes from being a kind and giving person.
Interesting! I loved the Monkees when I was a kid, and we'd get up early on Saturday mornings to watch them. I loved the song Hey Hey we're the Monkees. I have there greatest hits on my ITunes account today and have listened to it from time to time. It is sad to see that the other Monkees have passed on BUT I wish Mikey Dolenz the best in health, happiness and whatever else life has to offer him. Thanks for sharing this information.
So, now we know that this is simply an ad for the realtor that maintains this channel. And as a side note someone that we all know used to live here......maybe
Some other trivia for ya: When NBC producers fired them it amounted to them wanting to release their own created material. But when the producers (actually handlers) handed them their next no.1 hit which they in kind rejected asking to release their own song they were "Fired." That "next no.1 song " was none other called and named "Sugar Sugar" later released by the Archie's, and it did hit No. 1 on the pop charts. Michael Nesmith trivia: Was said by some critics to be only member (save Peter) who had musical talent outside the realm of vocals, but what some don't know is what his mom was famous for. What's that you ask? Ever heard of 'whiteout'? His mom invented it. Davy Jones trivia: For us die hard Beatles fans there's someone else who was on the Ed Sullivan show that night they they premiered on US. television, that's right Jones. He was with Georgia Brown (Wikipedia has more on that). Peter Tork (actually Peter Thorkelson) trivia: Peter was actually my favorite, but unknown to most was he was a friend of Stephen Stills of famed Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills & Nash. And too why Peter left the Monkees is said by some from exhaustion and others, being a former school teacher wanted to return to teaching and others saying unlike his three other band members playing themselves, Peter wasn't. More unlike the dumb but lovable character Peter was actually a very serious minded person and tired of playing the role of a Marx brother....
Mickey Dolenz was the best singer in the group IMO although Davy Jones was my favorite Monkee. I watched them from the beginning of their career as The Monkees even though I was a Beatles fan as well. I enjoyed the versatility of both musical groups in the same timeframe. Glad Mickey was able to succeed at different venues of his life especially with the difficulty of balancing family life with fame. ❤🥁🎸🎹🎼🌟
Pity that you have in the title "His life is so sad", when nothing in this video alludes to such. He is an obviously well-respected and well-loved man, who has pleased many over the years with his many talents and generosity. I was and remain a big Monkees fan. The AI bot voice is a distraction...
Hello, I have been told buy a backup singer for the carpenters that she gave me a guild guitar that was played by Mickey. No proof just her word . Don't want to give more information for her privacy.
Mid 60's, what a time to be a kid, and having both the Beatles and the Monkees cranking out hit songs at the same time! 🎸
I loved the Monkees too. I also remember him as a child actor in TV series Circus Boy.
"circus Boy" was my favorite show every week as a kid ........ Mickey Dolenz was the star and it was great .... I'm 75 now lol ....still remember.

I admit I was never a big Monkees fan but loved Mickey Dolenz's singing voice especially on Pleasant Valley Sunday. 😀

I never missed an episode of The Monkees
The last train to Clarksville.
I agree with allan9603 - DUMP THE COMPUTER-GENERATED NARRATOR. GET A REAL ONE!
I remember him in circus boy
Yea... I remember that show
I feel in love with circus boy
I went to school with him, till he became circus boy, then we never saw him again.
I remember Circus Boy but completely forgot he was in it. Thanks for mentioning it.
LOSE THE ANNOUNCER-BOT!
Why is his life sad ?
Click bait.
I love you micky v
Mickey was even on a later episode of My Three Sons
Could the producer please train the AI voice to pronounce "Dolenz" correctly on a consistent basis?
I met Mickey at a Comic Con in St. Louis and you had to pay $40 to have your picture taken with him. He acted like a complete pain.
Why is he shown in a wheel chair?
I wondered that myself.
That's how they hook ya 😵💫🙄
I don’t understand that Either !!!!!😢😢😢
Just to suck us in. Pretty disgusting
Thumbs down for me for that
Left handed drummers rule
Good video, BAD AI narrator!
Mickey you need pics of your children and grandchildren on those empty walls.
He is the only one still alive
I hate these AI bits.
He not in no wheelchair stop your bull 💩
Circus Boy, back in the 1950’s
Where is the pool? No pools? Awww.
Channel owner, get rid of the lame AI narrator!
Hire a narrator! Listening to this is torture!
How much did Dolenz pay for this?
May be you should get AI that can at least pronounce his name correctly.
He DID pronounce Mickie Dolenz' name correctly!!!
I'm 70 & I remember his boyhood role in the TV show, "The Circus Boy."
I don’t think his life is sad. Not even close.
I wish the narrator would learn how to pronounce certain words correctly !
net worth?
Boring 🙄😴😴
projection.
Great stories...but Artificial Intelligence...makes boring

Highly overrated group, like the Beach Boys.
