I totally agree I was a juror once. A young man was facing 15+ years. The prosecution did such a terrible job, I could not believe the man was guilty BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT. The jury initially voted guilty. A couple of us made our observations. The jury returned not guilty. The judge met with us after, and completely agreed. It was a pretty cool experience, imo
It can be very frustrating and sad at times, but that is how our justice system is set up- and it does work! People get upset about criminals getting away because of a poor prosecution team- but I think that should instead highlight the other mechanisms within that need to be worked on rather than the process itself. Hopefully that makes sense? Lol we can’t base the law on feeling or opinions, that’s why there is the law and court system, even if it is very flawed.

There is a large artery in each shoulder, which runs down the arm. It’s just behind muscle so it isn’t as exposed as say your wrist or neck. But you can definitely bleed out very quickly if stabbed anywhere, if an artery is hit.
Someone could survive being stabbed 20x, and someone else could die from a single stab wound. Just depends how unlucky you are and how quickly medical attention is rcvd.

this case was different from most.she stab her husband just ONCE in the SHOUDER, then ran away from him (must had been the smallest knife in a full kitchen) and didn't try to get rid of the body. Or try to run away. Refreshing !
I have an acquaintance who became a widow at 35 yrs old. No children. The next year she married her former father in law. And was married for many years. I’m not diagnosing this bizarre relationship but offering my opinion that maybe more people ought to stay single! I mean, really, rescue a dog or cat. 🤷♀️👍🤷♀️

She would have been under an extreme amount of stress and shock, and people respond to stress and shock in different and unusual ways. You say we weren't in the room. But her story lines up with the evidence that was found. One stab only strongly suggests a defensive action and not a conscious murder. He was physically and emotionally abusing her regularly. Finally HE snapped and she defended herself. This was an excellent verdict.

It is difficult to feel real sympathy for either of them. They had known each other for years before they married and had lived together as parent and child. He didnt suffocate. He took maybe 15 minutes to die through bloodloss and she could hear him in that time. Why he didnt call 911 then is a mystery. The wound actually seemed minor so she initially presumed heart attack. Cleanup was minor also.

Todd Grande is misleading. The dating app merely showed up and was closed in seconds, as the prosecutor conceded after the app provider testified. They had been separated, and she used the app then a couple of times. Then he moved back in unilaterally and resumed roughing her up. Evidence of abuse Todd Grande omits was extensive.
@@peterquennellnyc I definitely agree, I have been watching the case goes on for hours.. regarding the dating app website, Danielle merely browsed on it because when she opened her phone the last activity on the web browser is the dating app, that's y it appeared. It doesn't mean Danielle was intentionally looking for dates. She's in trauma, she might have clicked browsers out of suicidal thoughts.

I have an acquaintance who became a widow at 35 yrs old. No children. The next year she married her former father in law. And was married for many years. Manslaughter sounds like a very fair verdict. Great point that she only called after realizing her injury..It's a very good chance she wasn't concerned about saving his life in any sense.
It wasn't clear to me why manslaughter wasn't in the verdict, but I don't know much about how US law works regarding injury and death.
Most people can dial 911. Its very simple.
Took her 9 hours. She was trying to decide how she would get away with the whole caper.

@@elinorlee1539 Thinking that her odd behavior after the face makes her guilty is deeply flawed thinking, and also not logical. She would have been under an extreme amount of stress and shock, and people respond to stress and shock in different and unusual ways.
You say we weren't in the room. But her story lines up with the evidence that was found. One stab only strongly suggests a defensive action and not a conscious murder.
He was physically and emotionally abusing her regularly. Finally HE snapped and she defended herself.
This was an excellent verdict.

It is difficult to feel real sympathy for either of them. They had known each other for years before they married and had lived together as parent and child. They had to be familiar with the unstable personality of the other.
Aside from that, there is the "yuk" factor of marrying your father/child figure!

I concluded many years ago that relationships mostly cause so much sadness, detrimental volatility, agonizing heartbreaks; to our loved ones, colleagues, neighbors, strangers, and whomever. So sad😪

He didnt suffocate. He took maybe 15 minutes to die through bloodloss and she could hear him in that time. Why he didnt call 911 then is a mystery. The wound actually seemed minor so she initially presumed heart attack. Cleanup was minor also.

Another fine analysis. I don't think I would have expected to have heard of so many relationship role, "breaking"? or Violating among crime accounts. I think this is the 3rd of 4th story in last 12 months, analyzed by you, which includes the father figure involved with a daughter, step-daughter, adopted daughter. I'm betting that might have contributed some tiny part of the failures in the relations that resulted with homicide(s).

Same here. It seemed the right verdict. She does seem off but even so, I felt strongly that the verdict was correct.
