awesome build! thank you for making a detailed build video for future venom buyers, i'm sure a lot of people will find this helpful once the venom goes more mainstream
My Venom 60HE 7U coming in next week, can't wait to play with it! And yeah, only people from Asia that really know this PCB and not much people from the west know it.
A heads up for anyone building this board! Geon recommends that you remove the daughterboard on the pcb, if your using a gh60 case. I dont think he said anything about this but it’s highly recommended!
I have been waiting for an HHKB-layout HE pcb for a while now and they apparently have a 7u Tsangan version of this. I might have to check this out, very exciting stuff!
I'm thinking on selling mine. It's the yellow version though, it was the last one in stock a while ago in Europe. Thought about spray painting it or something, but never actually got to it.
On the official GeonWorks website it said that we need to remove the daughter board from the PCB, because it may damage the board cos’ of electricity. But this text is copied from Venom HE TKL, since it says that this child board is located above the arrows, and in the case of Venom 60 HE it is located under the space, there is clearly a Geon error, but I still do not understand whether this is a mandatory part or not?
Haven't tried the Geonworks switches, but i just purchased the TTC Uranus Esports and compared them to the orignal lekker 45's/Jade's/JadePro's and the are way better feeling. Not better sounding then the jade pro's, but because of the longer springs they have, they feel so snappy. Ps: i'm also using "Awekeys Moonlanding Lunar maria" full metal keycaps so i needed some extra bounce force on the switches
& latency wise best rn but software wise still on par with wootings right? wish i had known more abt this first and before buying into the wooting hype cos i want everything to be quick and fastest haha
I have my 60he+ in a tofu redux and i love it but have a either a magger or a halo 65 being added on depending on which one my girl is going to choose(had to have the razer huntsman cuz she loves razer but hated that board haha, im in pain) ramble cut short but i want to do something similar to what you did for whatever new board comes for me. or put my wooting in a new case and the others in others. alibaba got some nice cases people swear by for cheap as hell. I really want to try those stained wood/ bamboo cases that make any board sound so sick. good vid bro looks great.
I couldnt clearly understand what you said at: 08:20 "other brands you reccomend are wooting, nuphy, and what were the others? as I already know both brands but would love to see which boards else you reccomend:)
@@jerrorr thats good to hear! i think im going to build one myself with the holy60 case. i cant believe how affordable it is with this performance and stuff. i got the 60he module for like 130 and this is like half the price kinda crazy aha.
@ Yeah that's true... I think im going to get the ghost judges keycaps which are like 40 dollars, and I got some latenpow deng god switches already which I bought for like 15 dollars. hopefully they work ok
@ ghost judges are great! Used then in the past. Haven’t tried the switches but just switch the correct travel distance on the software and then calibrate. They will probably work fine!
Thanks! Only difference I can feel comes from the lower deadzones you can have with the board and venom still remains stable with the lowest settings which is nice. However the latency benefit is something purely academic and doesn’t make the slightest difference in gaming. It’s a nice project to build tho and there is no disadvantage of having the lowest possible latency.
I'm sad because I just ordered the hm66 when the venom60's pcb was sold out. Now he is on stocks.... Damn what should I do? I think it's too late now my hm66 is on shipping, I would be more excited to build the venom60he myself...
what do you recommend? take a wooting 80he that I could customize or take a venom he pcb (also in 80%) for customization (this will be my first custom keyboard).

Do you think I could use the apex pro mini as a donor keyboard? I'm curious if I could just get the venom60he pcb but use the case, pcb plate, foams, stabilizers from the apex pro mini. They look like they have the same layout so I was thinking it might work. I already have some TTC uranus and TTC KOM switches I can use for it.
Welp nvm, only things I could use from the apex pro mini is the case and keycaps without desoldering all the switches from the pcb which is not worth it lol

Nice video and the Venom is easy the best but for finish product dont forget the meelgeek made 68 pro, Mchose ace 60 pro, Madlions Nano and other good keyboards on the market. You dont need wooting for 300$ or more 😂😂😂
@ awesome! From what I can tell I can source most of these parts through geon and divinikey. Is there anything that I absolutely will not be able to source without using taobao?
@@schwift6099 they are but I don't really encourage to use them since the stem and housing are both made from PC which causes occasional stickiness. I would rather go with the Geon RAW He switches with the rated force of your preference since they are on sale at geon and are one of the best if not the best he switch currently.
It’s not a must thing to do if you use material between the pcb and the case like a foam. But if there is a risk of having electrical contact with it you should remove it.

Hi a question:
on this pcb (venom 60he) is it possible to change the polling rate? like from 8k to 1k or is fixed to 8k?
it is fixed to 8k
Yeah fixed to 8000hz currently
I don't see why you would need to change it anyway, it's not demanding like mouse 8k is.
@@Iak_Gnaw that is true
