Fun Fact: Between 1971-1977 it was actually called The GMC Sprint.
I had a 79 with a little 6, blew that up. Put a 350 into it couldn’t keep the wheels from spinning. It was fun!

Most reliable v6 gm ever made. One day, I would love to own one.
The 3800 series 3.8 was great. The early to mid 80s carb 3.8 was garbage. New 3 people that had them back in the day and none made a 100k. My parents cutlass that was bought new and well cared for locked up at 55 k. A friend's mom had a Regal that was bought new and well cared for that locked up at 80k. And I'm from Nebraska. Cares don't spend hours a day sitting in grid lock.

I got an 84 caballero for sale with 54k miles on it. Good shape.
I had an 83 Caballero...It would easily do a one wheel peel. The car had amazing stability at speeds over 75 MPH.
This truck has good bones 😊
And 84 last year built in America 85 went to Mexico making it harder to find.
Not the Amarillo package in 1984 only 2705 made of the caballero be a good start for hot rod i like original thow .for as rare as they are would be nice if original wheels head lights radio antenna and all . getting hard to find!!!
GMC version of Chevy ElCamino would luv this swap out V6 for 4270or LT1 powerplant repaint white but with some sliver SS stripe's.
I need a good truck to take to "hon depo"...Might as well be a Caballero...

Seems nice for the money. Fun fact,the ss monte nose can be put on these and looks good. Small cowl induction hoods look goid too. 3.8 v6 are good motors,but not much power. 4.3 s were a little better .Some even came with a floor mounted 3 speed on some years with the 3.8 if i am not mistaken. Looks like a solid car to do a little hot-rodding to,but truthfully that 3.8 runs good. Sound like it needs a u - joint maybe?
