I have to say, this is a breath of fresh air seeing someone fight this battle with different characters, especially on Gau. He's a random character but if you're smart, you can choose the best rages for him in battle if you take the time to seek them out. Meanwhile, I like how they changed the graphics here. Its pretty cool! I love the magic!! This game had a lot of random magic attacks from the characters as well as enemy. I think they went all out on creating diverse attacks both offensively and defensively. Soundtrack is still a memorable one after years later. Still my favorite! The levels of the bosses have been altered in lighting to give a way more epic battle to the top of the tower! I love it - a very clean and polished 3D makeover!
Better than watching some rando streamer, LPer and general scrub abuse Valiant Knife/Ultima Weapon Master Scrolls and Quick/Ultima with the Soul of Thamasa amirite? You are also talking to the guy who wrote the Gau Bible on Steam ;)
Finally a video where someone doesn’t use cheap strategies to win. I think the game intends you to be at Kefka’s Tower around levels 30-40 (Assuming you don’t do all the side quests and use the same four characters for every battle up until that point), which is the most likely reason why most of the phases have very weak attacks. Plus Kefka himself can be difficult if you don’t go all out and force him to use Forsaken/Goner.
I have found that you only need about 3k life on most of your party members to get through Kefka's Tower in one piece but the boss helps to have 4k or more. Levels are usually redundant unless you make up for it with Stat up Espers. I am usually overleveled because I don't like running away unless I absolutely have to. As for the cheap strategy bit, I think that is why many of the people find out about my vids or like them. If you wanted to watch some rando spam Ultima or Quick/Master Scroll abuse defense ignoring weapons, you would have done that yourself. I know how they work and have done them in the past, but I know people want a mix of that skill and suffering. Besides, how often do you see Gau do the final boss?
I won't lie. You are the 2nd person amongst my videos who has openly admitted this. I myself got sick of that shit and I was pretty vocal about it in other videos. If I wanted to watch some scrub spam Ultima and show off how "good" he was, I would have done it myself. People want that mix of skill and suffering. It was Dork Kefka and another guy that inspired me to make these videos. The former in his openly said "noobs only do what others do and I do what I want and win" along the lines... all while he did every spam that all the players know and only got infamous because he did a FFXNSG run off a guide that was written on Gamefaqs. The other treated Cyan like crap and I wanted to shove it in his face that he wasn't, especially with the new changes to Bushido.
Oddly enough there was a motivation for why I brought him here. There was another YTer, I can't remember his name, who has a video where he basically titled it Cyan Sucks as he did the Dreamscape. I had a bit of a debate with the guy especially since he was shitting on Bushido 2.0 and he was one of those Genji Glove/Master's Scroll, Ultima spammer types. I mixed up the characters for this to largely stick it to something dumb Dork Kefka said on his channel and because I wrote the Gau Bible on Steam.
I would use cyan against kefka since he is the person who suffered more than most characters. He lost his family, and his entire comrades of Doma Kingdom. I would give Cyan the perfect justice and revenge against kefka.

These battles actually look very fun to watch when it's not just everyone spamming Ultima. That's why I like self-restrictions.
