Joe Musashi is in this game. And guess what? He doesn't have to worry about the cursed sword that's limited only to Hotsuma. You can play the game again as the classic ninja himself.

Some veterans are still in this studio, but due to bad sales of their last game - Valkyria Chronicles 4 on 2018, this studio dont made any game after that, which is very disturbing.
I remember playing the Demo version of stage 2 - A and loving the stages OST, and I still listen to the OST to this day, I also love the fact that theirs a cut scene if you cut down multiple enemies at once and than shethe Akujiki, I always thought it looked badass, it's a shame none of the games today have that mechanic.

I got it just after playing “Ninja Gaiden” on Xbox, and was skeptical that it would stand up, but I feel that it did a fair job - although Ninja Gaiden on Xbox and Ninja Gaiden 2 for 360 are my two favorite games ever, period. I really miss this generation of games…the graphics were good enough that there were some really great looking titles, but the systems were apparently in expensive to program for, so there were just loads of weird, affordable games all over the place. I remember going to GameStop and just blindly grabbing a short stack of used games on payday, and not eve breaking a hundred bucks. In particular, I loved all the goofy anime - Japanese lore games for Ps2…Okano, Shinobi, Virtua Fighter….those were the days.

That was probably the hook they wanted. Looking back at it, games like this and Ninja Gaiden were the 'Souls like' games of that era, we just didnt really have a term to classify them at that time

The final Boss was so hard. But it was made so much worse by always having to redo the entire final stage before the final boss if you ended up raging quitting. I seriously thought the game was hard enough to end it at stage 3. Boy did I have some surprises coming
Survivor of that exact rage quit here. It would be another 13 years before I sat down committed to beat it. At the final boss around 2 am with no success. Went to bed with console on. Beat boss first try in the morning and ripped my shirt off. Hahah what a freaking game!

You can jump over his head as he launches himself off the building for massive damage. DO it enough times to drop his health to really low levels before killing him....unless that was patched or something.

This was one of my first PS2 games as a kid. This brings back memories.

I would wait until the minions is summoned, kill the all minions first then end the boss when the blade is red. It so satisfying.
