Guys ive got an off topic questions but i wanted to ask about fps
My game is auto capped at 120fps but it stays at 75-90 most of the time. Anyways ive heard that above 60 fps breaka the game physics so should i cap to 60? Will it feel smooth then?
@@pajo5014 I'd suggest capping it at 60 and feel it out for yourself. If it feels stuttery now it might help to have it stuck at a lower but more consistent frame rate.
There's also unique dialogue with Ike after you clear out Quarry Junction, I'm pretty sure he mentions that it allowed business to pick up a bit and the saloon won't be empty anymore. Pretty neat little detail.
@@CatnamedMittens the military isn’t allowed there but NCR workers are, the people have the same clothes as the quarry people
@@CatnamedMittens in NV Boulder City sits next to a concrete factory of sorts and Quarry Junction was where they got their limestone from, clearing out the deathclaws obviously allowed work to resume

It does make sense tho, the Miner Head Honcho literally says that alot of the Limestone mined at the quarry goes directly to New Vegas or the Dam for fortifications by rail so it would make sense for them to stop at the bar either after a delivery or just before arriving, especially since a rail station is just right outside Boulder City where the Bar is located in, which is a sending point for the Dams supplies.

"Most of the limestone comes from Quarry Junction out west. The supply had stopped for awhile because of a Deathclaw problem. I heard some badass wastelander killed the Deathclaws, and deliveries of limestone have been coming in again. I don't think they've gotten the trains up and running yet, but most of the concrete plant workers have come back to town now. Good for business." That's what Ike says. I think it does make sense, the workers finally have something to do with the arrival of the limestone coming from the quarry, bringing them back into Boulder City to work and grab a drink at the saloon during their break. Even though the trains aren't running again, one could assume the NCR is delivering it via caravan along the railway, meaning that there's a relatively steady supply of material for the men to work with.
Idk how people give this game shit its not perfect but the amount of content still being found and enjoyed just surprises me like please let there be a remaster
I remember I encountered this while trying to blend in with the NCR on a legion run. Well done obsidian
The NCR occupies so much territory in the Mojave that it helps to have some disguises on hand when doing a Legion playthrough. It makes you feel like a frumentarii, and it also means you don't have to deal with the NCR hit squads provided you don't piss them off whilst you're in disguise.

I have a 144hz monitor and at 60fps it was so stuttery/laggy/not smooth
This is an actual thing the military will do. We have a bar that is outside of one of our gates and my whole battalion was forbidden to go there after one too many fights

@@murray613 you'd be surprised how easy it is to make mistakes like that. It's why at least for the American army there are multiple checks to ensure this does not happen. But it's still very possible

When I first met him I liked him cause at the time I was super into ssbb and Ike was my main. So it was just kind of a little moment of Heeeeey!
0:41 I wish the Boulder City had it's own town reputation and it was the first town which supports legion over NCR.
It would add some diversity to the Mojave which is majorly pro NCR or independence.
It would also add alot of layers to roleplay as well
The issue is how the Legion was written. If a town was pro Legion, the town would get instantly absorbed and turned into a military legion camp, with men forced to enlist and women turned into slaves. Hence, no one wants to side with them.
while it is interesting, people side with the legion because they were usually forced too
Boulder city citizen probably hate the ncr but nobody want a slave faction with sexism to inhabit their town

Legion doesn't turn everyone i to either slave or a soldier after all, since we know there is trade routes and regular citizens in Legion land.
@@danielsurvivor1372 And notice the usage of "routes". While you are correct about certain caravans using the Legion for protection against raiders, NONE of them are based specifically in Legion territory, for the reasons I said above.
@@danielsurvivor1372 Best case scenario? A town gets mostly left alone in exchange for "tributes" of supplies and people for them to enslave. Which still sucks a lot. They could come and take your kids in the middle of the night as sex slaves or child soldiers and there's nothing you can do about it.

Actually all of Boulder City was such a let down
The good news is, it makes it great for mods. I have two installed that make the city more relevant. New Vegas Bounties and Hope Lies.

I like how in regards to the world-building of FNV, Obsidian adapted when it became apparent that they couldn’t do it how they initially intended: having large number of NPCs in the world space. In this localised case, NCR civilian & local labourers working on the railway & concrete mixing facilities being overseen by the NCR Army. Here just a couple sentences substantiate as much narrative as the intended tens or hundreds of hours of work they would have like to have put into this area (Boulder City/Hoover Dam).

Just the other day, I noticed a safe on the floor of the Cocktail Lounge (Lucky 38). I use the lounge for storage and I've walked over that safe hundreds of times never noticing it. It has the same color and shape as the bar mats on the floor.

You know, I honestly always thought that bar was part of the someguy2000 mod series.
I never knew that. I always go there to get that lever action shotgun from him though. Also anyone else ever notice the traveling merchant there with the cowboy repeater who wanders around and then ends up in Novac permanently? I always liked that he didn't just have a 10mm pistol or a Merc like most other merchants.
I wonder if he has dialogue if you use legion outfits or he's hostile.

Wow, I never knew faction outfits can change dialogue aside from Arcade Gannon. I always thought it was just to hide any bad rep.
It can do that for a lot of places. Wearing NCR uniform in any ncr place will get you a lot of dialogue.
Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish _THEY WOULD LET ME INTO THE DAMN BAR SO I CAN HAVE A BEER AND COPE WITH THE PAIN AND MEANINGLESSNESS OF MY EXISTENCE WHILE UNDER A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF STRESS DREADING THE DAM WAR ON THE HORIZON_

I wish there was a thing where if you cleared out the death claws in quarry junction the workers would get back to work and the cement factory in Boulder City would start working again

There were a guy in that still lives in boulder city ? I always thought it was a dead zone with just NCR and that tiny Khans house.
It actually has a functional concrete factory, but it's currently abandoned due to Quarry Junction being infested, meaning that no limestone comes in. If you clear it out, the saloon will have workers in it
I think I like the new outro even better
Fun fact: There is a unique dialogue option if you actually have a few dozen doses of psycho on you when you talk to ranger milo at nelson.

I put about a 1000 hours into this game and didn't know that this saloon existed.
I never entered that saloon so my dumb brain thought that it was Ike from Fire emblem XD
He also comments on how some badass wastelander killed the deathclaws in the quarry if you've already done so
This little tidbit of interactivity makes the Boulder City Saloon slightly more memorable. Other than this, the only reason to even drop in and visit the place is to steal or buy the rare Nuka-Cola variants that are displayed on the shelf behind the bar.
Honestly it's the nicest looking bar in the game. Just a shame there's nothing to do there.

I'm not a trooper' just wearing the armor is a pretty suspicious thing to say no matter how you look at it. Legion spy, battlefield looter, and stolen valor all come to mind.

The only dialogue I got from him was Raul blasting him for no reason.

For one moment I thought this was Ike from Fire Emblem, but it was just the bartender from the saloon of Boulder City.

How have I never been here.
I have played new Vegas since it came out on PS3, I never even knew this place was accessible.
I just assumed it was a boarded up building .
I had never seen this place until my most recent playthrough (the first one I did with mods) and I just assumed it was some mod location
you can also met ncr farmers close to the bar if you poison the ground water in '' hard luck blues '' they will leave for California

With some recent exploring I found an abandoned semi with a coyote pup seemingly guarding a stash of stuff - I don't have the heart to hurt the pup so I left him. Anyone know if there's a story to that? It's between Sloan and the raided caravan to the south.

Honestly, it's so out of the way that it's pretty easy to miss. Especially since nothing indicates that there's a functioning saloon in the town
