Im kinda shocked Getaway didnt even make the honorable mentions list, with Sunder and Shadowplay both making the list I figured Getaway, a main antagonist, would land somewhere.
I missed this vote, but Getaway almost got several killed, then was imprisoned without limbs and with his mouth sawed off to prevent him escaping which was beyond barbaric...and then proceeded to go full on genocidal psychopath who went as far as stripping spinal cords and sparks off of other Autobots...that was really messed up on both sides.
To put into perspective how bad the Decepticons are in IDW Tarn was the comendant of Grindcore prison and asked Autobot Skids to help repair a teleporter to send Autobot prisoners off world for labor but Tarn was lying it was really a teleporter to a smelting chamber and all the prisoners were killed all of this was done to break Skids faith in Primus.

The UK Marvel Autobot Flame for making a zombie army of the dead Autobots, Decepticons and civilians. Trying to turn Cybertron into a spaceship with engine that were more likely to go boom and take the planet with them. And worst of all only getting a figure in 2024 despite him being the first evil Autobot.
As much as I hate Rodimus, Magnus was not a good leader. Remember that line where he said 'I can't deal with this right now.' He was over stressed. Maybe he could have learned in time, but that wasn't where they wanted to go with the script. This was all intentional of course in order to give a reason why Rodimus should take his place. Keep in mind, being a lower ranked officer, doesn't necessarily mean you are qualified to be the general. Also, people seem to take these polls as the most flimsy pretext to gripe about something. Like voting in Volcanicus. What has he even done? It seems people are complaining about his very existence, ostensibly because he wasn't there in G1 therefore he is bad. G1 is my favourite but it isn't my criteria for what is good and for what is bad, which is what some people seem to believe. This is how you get G1 purism and as much as I do like G1, it's obnoxious and probably just people being unreasonably inclined to their childhood because of an overinflated sense of nostalgia.

Kinda piggybacking off the number one answer, but how about Teletran-1 repairing Decepticons? i mean Teletran-1 could be kinda considered an Autobot and not only did it repair Skywarp first over an Autobot but it then went on to repair Megatron.
I know this is also IDW continuity but I'm surprised Nova Prime is only mentioned once in passing. That guy was a militaristic, racist imperialist who eventually came back as one of the greatest threats the Transformers have ever faced and he was one of the Autobot leaders. Personally I think a lot of the worst things - in terms of atrocities or being morally reprehensible - the Autobots have ever done come from the IDW continuity. It really made the war far more morally gray, and made it clear that while the Decepticons were extremists, the Autobots were defending a corrupt and oppressive system.
Rodimus said cybertron was better then paradron because it wasn't so perfect. The whole episode they depict paradron as basically heaven even when the decepticons came they were naive and thought the world was perfect and they could change but they came and took over the planet anyways . So what they thought was a perfect world was never true as long as decepticons could come and take it. At least that was the point they were trying to get across. They could have done it better or maybe had it been sandstorm's idea so at least it came from themselves and not from autobots who weren't from there

I think why I voted the way I did is that I don't follow the comics, and when it comes to Rodimus as leader, I think the other Autobots had no choice. Hot Rod caught the matrix when Optimus dropped it. Then, when he became Rodimus, it was Optimus that said Arise Rodimus Prime.
I agree, but I also think the Matrix got it very, very wrong and I guess one could say it is an Autobot relic. As I said though, something like that is so iffy because of the timeline.

One of the ideas that came to mind when I voted (and didn't put down, obviously) was from the Marvel comics: Optimus launching the Underbase into space to keep it from Megatron. The storyline shows that the Underbase would wipe out all life on a planet by grazing its atmosphere. So Optimus (in the Marvel comics) is responsible for the deaths of entire worlds. Dark.
While I don't know jack about how that plays out in IDW, as a person who did a Sociology degree, I can say I know a thing or two about class systems and caste systems and rarely do they lead to good places.

For example, Cliffjumper attacked the Decepticons, after disobeying prime just to find them. He fired first, which basically reignited the war on earth. Then the end of the pilot, the Autobots were given fuel by all worlds powers to get them gone. Next episode they are still there- my interpretation, why leave when you're given fuel? So a logic here is that they farm the humans by keeping a crop of pesky Decepticons around, people who are hungry enough to try to do what they can to survive. Think of a mother or father stealing a loaf of bread to feed their children (In this day and age, with prices as they are- I don't blame them). But the there is a benefit to the Autobots if they keep the Decepticons around, just hungry enough to continue attacking places for energy. Humans give them super-fuels and in essence tithe them to keep the Decepticons at bay. What incentive is there for the Autobots to leave? This is a tidy nice arrangement. Hell, Optimus Prime put Cybertron first and allowed Megatron to bring it into earth's orbit- that's a guy who clearly is putting his needs first, which also validates that which, I've previously stated. Regarding the Dinobots, they were created and Prime's knee-jerk reaction is to have them buried alive. The Autobots agree, and did so, but when they were needed, they were dug up, and used. Then they were exiled to Dinobot island, where they, once again, had to prove their usefulness in order for Prime to want them back. After that, they were seemingly stored in a closet and brought out when the Autobots needed a heavy hitter- heck, even Grimlock, which his low IQ, started to connect the dots. Add a similar behaviour regarding Skyfire, in Fire in the Sky: When Skyfire turned on the Decepticons then crashed after fighting Starscream, their immediate response is to give him a funeral. “you'll be remembered” yes, he will be. He'll be remembered that he has wings, and a large cargo hold and can carry Autobots too and from battle zones. SO in comes next episode fire on the mountain where he is dug up and “Great! We need a lift!” and off they fly. Skyfire's only purpose to the Autobots is a glorified flying Taxi. The Autobots created and made the immobiliser with intent to weaponise it to totally deactivate the Decepticons- this in itself is brutal. The Exile from Cybertron thing. I admit I consider Movie/Season 3 and 4 to be animation errors and to be totally disregarded, However, keeping it in mind, the Decepticons did unite to fight against Unicron. Afterwards, it appeared the Decepticons were totally banished from Cybertron. They were on a desolate planet fighting over scraps of energy- witnessed by Rodimus and Grimlock- to me this is their exile. Maybe not ALL the Decepticons, but key players. Also later in the seasons, it indicates that the Autobots are not permitting Decepticons to enter Cybertronian Air Space, which further validates that. Tfprime, The Autobots were quite happy to use a spark extractor against the Decepticon. A weapon they poo pooed initially as being diabolical- but okay when they need it. IDW (I know you hate it) But the Autobots implanted explosive devices into the Decepticons brains and used that on occasion to “control them.” I can go on. But these are my key points- and I'll die on this hill. I realise it's war, but the Autobots are not saints, they are not nice. I am not saying the Decepticons are, but the Autobots are just as fragged up as they are.

While I don't know jack about how that plays out in IDW, as a person who did a Sociology degree, I can say I know a thing or two about class systems and caste systems and rarely do they lead to good places.

@@DennisMoultonAKAGotBot There are far too many instances where the Autobots employed questionable tactics. For example, Cliffjumper attacked the Decepticons, after disobeying prime just to find them. He fired first, which basically reignited the war on earth.
Then the end of the pilot, the Autobots were given fuel by all worlds powers to get them gone. Next episode they are still there- my interpretation, why leave when you're given fuel?
So a logic here is that they farm the humans by keeping a crop of pesky Decepticons around, people who are hungry enough to try to do what they can to survive. Think of a mother or father stealing a loaf of bread to feed their children (In this day and age, with prices as they are- I don't blame them). But the there is a benefit to the Autobots if they keep the Decepticons around, just hungry enough to continue attacking places for energy. Humans give them super-fuels and in essence tithe them to keep the Decepticons at bay. What incentive is there for the Autobots to leave? This is a tidy nice arrangement.
Hell, Optimus Prime put Cybertron first and allowed Megatron to bring it into earth's orbit- that's a guy who clearly is putting his needs first, which also validates that which, I've previously stated.
Regarding the Dinobots, they were created and Prime's knee-jerk reaction is to have them buried alive. The Autobots agree, and did so, but when they were needed, they were dug up, and used. Then they were exiled to Dinobot island, where they, once again, had to prove their usefulness in order for Prime to want them back. After that, they were seemingly stored in a closet and brought out when the Autobots needed a heavy hitter- heck, even Grimlock, which his low IQ, started to connect the dots.
Add a similar behaviour regarding Skyfire, in Fire in the Sky: When Skyfire turned on the Decepticons then crashed after fighting Starscream, their immediate response is to give him a funeral. “you'll be remembered” yes, he will be. He'll be remembered that he has wings, and a large cargo hold and can carry Autobots too and from battle zones. SO in comes next episode fire on the mountain where he is dug up and “Great! We need a lift!” and off they fly. Skyfire's only purpose to the Autobots is a glorified flying Taxi.
The Autobots created and made the immobiliser with intent to weaponise it to totally deactivate the Decepticons- this in itself is brutal.
The Exile from Cybertron thing. I admit I consider Movie/Season 3 and 4 to be animation errors and to be totally disregarded, However, keeping it in mind, the Decepticons did unite to fight against Unicron. Afterwards, it appeared the Decepticons were totally banished from Cybertron. They were on a desolate planet fighting over scraps of energy- witnessed by Rodimus and Grimlock- to me this is their exile. Maybe not ALL the Decepticons, but key players. Also later in the seasons, it indicates that the Autobots are not permitting Decepticons to enter Cybertronian Air Space, which further validates that.
Tfprime, The Autobots were quite happy to use a spark extractor against the Decepticon. A weapon they poo pooed initially as being diabolical- but okay when they need it.
IDW (I know you hate it) But the Autobots implanted explosive devices into the Decepticons brains and used that on occasion to “control them.”
I can go on. But these are my key points- and I'll die on this hill. I realise it's war, but the Autobots are not saints, they are not nice. I am not saying the Decepticons are, but the Autobots are just as fragged up as they are.
