I am a RN who works on a CV IMU. These videos are always informative. Many of my fellow RNs are also NPs. Even they tell me they watch the Ninja Nerd videos when I mention Zach. Thanks for being an absolutely solid teacher.

Thank you for your great efforts , I have a suggestion, can you please list in description box the names of textbooks and references used in helping to make the content of each video from now on ? It would be very helpful when deciding to go over the details that weren’t mentioned in the videos , I hope to take this step in consideration next time 👍🏻

Noacs aren't contraindicated in ischemic stroke. They are the main stay of tx in ischemic stroke with af.
That being said, you should stop all anticoags and antiplatelets if they have haemorrhagic conversion
    Thanks for the great video

You say stopping blood thinners abruptly is dangerous without explaining. Is the risk of clotting after discontinuance greater than if the patient never took the anticoagulant or does the risk of adverse event simply return back to exactly the same level as pre coagulation? Is this danger of suddenly stopping anticoagulation only confined to long term use or short term use or on as need basis? Or is the danger of sudden cessation only in regard to those that have had a thromboembolism within the last 3 months?
Also, can factor IIa inhibitors be used for anything else other than cardioversion?

Please, i have a question that desturbing me? Why there is no survey when we use this medications? They have the same effect of heparine but why we do not have blood control via PT? Is that because of less risks of bleeding? But Revaroxaban still have this risque so why do not we test the anti- Xa ?

I don’t understand why thrombin is needed for factor five to activate thrombin. Is inactive form of thrombin is always there in our blood ? Are these all clotting factors circulating in our blood in inactive form? Is factor five needs inactive form of thrombin to activate thrombin?

My mom has been prescribed Cordarone & Evion LC by her Cardiologist, while her Neurologist added Apixaban These are all twice a day. Since she started taking Apixaban, she's now spitting blood (approx half tea spoon bloody saliva) every night, day she's fine. Despite knowing about blood, Neurologist told that stopping Apixaban can cause stroke. My guess is that Cordarone, Evion & Apixaban are reacting. She doesn't get blood when she skips Apixaban. She takes all with food. Is my analysis of reaction correct? Is there a better way to consume these medications safely? How worried should I be for her spitting little blood every night? Please answer. Thanks!

I can only claim that there is an interaction between these 2 drugs. Amiodarone increases the effects of apixaban through inhibition of CYP system and P-glycoprotein
