I am inside the aeroplane from Paris to Tokyo, remaining 3 hours to land, and finally, I managed to watch the most important episode, just a little before I join the cargo ship for my work to start. Watching you from inside the aeroplane, before I lose the internet connection for 7 months on the ocean. HAPPY THE LIFE !

Oh boy, what a video! Leaving behind kind guests in Belgium, and making it to the ferry inCalais to Dover, something else indeed! You two are something else indeed. I am so happy for both of you, and celebrate your great accomplishment, and you took us all along, around the world. So many geographies, and peoples and customs and societies most importantly the people you met, the friends you made, the people who inspired you, and the people, many strangers who embraced you, and many who helped. Most important ly, you overcame so many things. You can plan a great mission, in thus case to travel 2 up on a motorcycle around the world, and by hook and by crook you pulled it off, taking on so many surprises, adversities, and setbacks. 2 up riding us so different than long distance, endurance solo riding! It has it's own requirements, and duties and responsibilities . I say this, years ago, my wife and I, BC , ( Before Children) set off from Bueno Aries, and headed back to America, via Paragonia, through the Andes, battling high altitudes and fierce winds and cold, all the way north thru western South America, taking on getting around the Darien Gap, making our way thru Latin Ameica, Mexico, and finally back home to New Endland. To both of you, 2 up riding is quite different. Ollie, you are the Man! Your primary role as ruder has been so critical and you fulfilled your duty, to bring your pillion back home, safe and sound thru so many difficult riding conditions, and circumstances, broken ribs and sometimes daily exhaustion. And it wasn't anybody, Lavia is your partner for life, your wife. I tip my hat. And Lavia, you were essential to pull this off. Your judgements, your division of duties, your technical support and your judgment making was amazing. An essential partner who kept everything rolling, and when it was tome to take a break, and rest and recoup. You are quite a couple! I hope this brought you closer, and I am certain over time, over the months and years as you privately reflect on your most amazing journey both of you will relish all the wonderful moments, good and bad, and see, from my perspective how smart, hard working and courageous you are, and what an impressive team you are. God bless what you have done, and thank you so much for showing all of us what you have accomplished. When you accomplish the impossible, success is so much more understandable. Super congratulations.

I can only guess how hard it has been to keep your spirits up when things dont go to plan. Weather is quite unpredictable, however you made it look easy!
I ride daily, come rain, come snow come sun and I take each day weather as it comes, ride to the conditions and never get complacent.
I missed writing a comment in the Germany section of your trip. Have been to Germany many years ago and Loved it! Stayed for 2 weeks and travelled around Europe and across to Poland. Germany I adored though, its uber clean streets, German sense of humour, the food and drink! Fantastic!

Emotions are so high now, we truly feel your excitement to return England, where you have started this adventure! (Just in brackets, did Brexit happen during your circumnavigation?) And as Ronnie was so surprised on your height, I need to ask how tall you are? I bet still taller than us! :)
Yes it was crazy to be back after what felt like a lifetime away! No I think Brexit had all been finalised before we left. Lavi had already applied for the settlement scheme 😊 We are 163cm and 173cm so quite short for this bike 🤪 Is that taller than you?
@@LaviandOllie fingers crossed then for Lavi! Yes, you are taller than us, but it is funny because we have also 10 cm difference in between! I'm 159 cm and my hubby 169 cm :) It is quite difficult to find a proper bike for us (when Lavi sat on Kia's bike my husband said it is more than enough if she can put her forefeet on the ground! :D) - we ride now a VStrom 650, previously we had a Honda CB500

I think I would have been quite emotional returning back to my home country after that epic journey. There would have been tears. I remember how I felt returning to my home state of Victoria and seeing my family again after being away for 17 months including 6 months overseas! You guys did so well bringing Bumblebee back safely after all those adventures. 👍🥳

I know it's a little bit premature as this is the penultemate installment, but...
Technically, this is the point where the pair of you have completed this absolute quadruple LP's worth of wagnerian/prog rock-ish mega-epic (sorry! couldn't resist the music reference...) journey around the world. And you've shared it all with us. In fabulous style. With unwavering optimism, and countless scenic views for us to enjoy.
There's been some lows (the Mongolian mega-outbreak of bike drops with resultant fractured ribs as a result; the months-on-end wait to get the bike shipped from Dakar to Rio...) and some highs (close encounters with camels, ditto with monkeys, views aplenty(!) across hill/mountain crests to die for, and... the big one for me: The documentation of the fact that our little rocky spheroid is one hell of a diverse and interresting place).
Well done, Oliver and Lavinia! Well done indeed! And thank you; TUSEN TAKK; for sharing this adventure with us from the first day to the last. It's been a ride!
Now, get Lavi that MC license and two mid sized bikes and get ON WITH IT! ;-)
