You need to try the Neewer top handle with the neewer plate it works just fine…with small rig got the same problems…
That's good to know, but unfortunate, because I already own a lot of SmallRig accessories, so I guess I'll just stick with SmallRig.
If not all Nato rails sizes are equal, then......that's bad, isn't it? I wonder if more Nato rail components fit on the SmallRig size Nato rail or the Neewer size Nato rail. I saw a video where a guy put a Kondor Blue Nato rail top handle on a s5ii Neewer half cage. He didn't seem to have a problem. Does that mean the Neewer Nato rails are closer to a universal Nato rail size than SmallRig? It would be nice if all Nato rails and rail accessories fit universally.
Yeah, I don't know exactly what was going on with the unit I had. It might be a bad unit.
Thanks for the video. My small rig came with a nato plate from Amazon. I bought it for my GH6 tilta cage and since it already has a nato top plate I didn’t have to use it. I love the small rig too. I’ve had it for less than a week and combined with the tilta cage, I don’t want to take my rig apart because I like it so much.
Lol, nato rails depends from brand differs 0.5-1.5 mm
Did you find that it worked well with the nato rail from Neewer?
I didn't even try it. I have mostly SmallRig rails on all my cameras, so even if the Neewer handle worked best on the Neewer rail, I didn't want to buy all Neewer rails just for this handle compatibility.
Thank for the review. Do you still use your Nitze Lil Stinger handle with the ARRI mount? How is it?
I do not own that handle anymore since my upgraded cages do not support that ARRI mount on some of my cameras. But from what I remember, I really loved the feel of that handle. It fit my hands perfectly and supported the camera I was using: th-cam.com/video/eoDIsrrcSSI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=FReKVxhFAgbND5_v
Maybe you should check them out in advance, learn about the features, etc.. , rather than doing it live. Just sayin'.
