    Great tips. But I think the one thing that these POD sites have to do on their side is "disable right click" to stop those from stealing other artists work in the form of a saved image off their shop. Also better watermarks should make it harder to copy as well.

    • @DetourShirts
      @DetourShirts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good ideas. Yeah if they only showed the design on the product and not by itself that might help too.

    • @IrajMatthee

      @@DetourShirts that's right and if you can influence your connections, perhaps more trust would be gained. Also the date of the design can also indicate who the original artist is on that specific POD site.

    Hello Juna, I'm brand new to your channel. I am very interested in starting. Are you allowed to upload the same teeshirt designs on different POD sites? I know Merch by Amazon you have to wait to get accepted, do you have to wait to get accepted on other sites? For a beginner what other sites do you recommend??

    • @DetourShirts
      @DetourShirts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes you can! Your designs can be uploaded to different PODs at the same time. Amazon is really the only POD that I am on that I needed to wait to get accepted... there may be others out there though.

    I have a design question... Do you prefer to design via vector? Since you mostly design t-shirts you probably have a good idea of what size to design everything and could probably get away with raster, but surely you design with vectors so they're scalable, right? That being said, which program do you prefer? I sometimes work on the desktop and sometimes on the ipad. I'm having a bit of trouble finding a good vector app on the ipad that can do everything.

    • @DetourShirts
      @DetourShirts  ปีที่แล้ว

      I prefer vector but I think that is a personal taste.... raster is so good now that it doesn't make that much of a difference

    • @DetourShirts
      @DetourShirts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think you can do it without a business license at least in the US... I think all you need is a PayPal account or Bank account... your SS number should be enough... Etsy might be different... Yes taxes... We need to save at least 30% for taxes in the US at least.

    does your videos show you step by step (and I mean as far as how do to margin settings/connecting to shopify/settings for illustrations to be made for posters or tees/etc? i have seen on so many "training videos" that only give you basic info, but claim "step by step" and leave out important inf and won't reply with how to fix what went wrong by following their instructions. i am with redbubble, followed a step-by-step tutorial thinking that was all I needed, I then ordered my tee and it was terrible printing. i wasn't happy at all. i was very discouraged. then I happened to look at another video that someone did and they said to make sure your settings for the transfer on placeit (4500-5400) was these numbers. i ordered the same tee and it came back with what I expected! so.....i wanted to know if your videos covers the important things I need to know (why connect to shopify, how to connect to shopify (which I am able to order tees without shopify)/how to set or price margins and change that setting on redbubble/etc. I'm not expecting you to answer these questions from the youtube comments, but wanted to know what you videos cover (details or general info).

    • @DetourShirts
      @DetourShirts  ปีที่แล้ว

      It really depends... I try to do step by steps for the subject in the video but not all of my videos are about the same things.... I'm not sure if I have a step by step of the whole process all the way through.
