I get a lot of traffic for my mugs from Pinterest, once those images are looking good within RB, I use the interest extension, I have a mug profile & there are lots of redbubble share & Mug pages you can post too, I post on 5 or 6, This gives you steady traffic overtime, Pinterest is long term advertising, the Pinterest extension uses the title & description you use on RB, super easy. I'm pretty sure the RB algorithm starts to put your mugs upfront when you get those mug sales. If a person is searching for mugs and you're the one selling them it's only natural they are going to put designs that have sold in front of that customer.
Juna Thank you so much for the shout out - This is a great tutorial, Only 10% of mugs are properly lined up on RB & this advice gives people the opportunity to get those extra sales with this mug template, white mugs are the number 1 seller for me & 2nd is full pattern mugs. Another tip is for example your Corgi eating noodles has Chinese symbols having a few of them scattered about around the outside of the image on the template gives that feel of a matching background pattern, if it was a guitar graphic it could be random music notes, a cute cat design have little paw prints give a fuller all-around mug design without getting the harsh lines of a full edge to edge design. A quick explanation about my TH-cam channel is not only to have fun with it but also, use my Channel to make fun clips around subject matter/ hobbies/sports/skills relevant to key designs I create. I sell & promote T-shirts within this video. It's a subtle way of branding. From cute cats & or dog videos - with a support link to a cute cat design, the person watching, searching for the videos loves cats. Your target audience is right there watching at that point. Please if you like what you see, like, share & subscribe, watch my channel grow and how it will evolve into marketing my designs full time. Thanks again Juna | Much Love Peace & Respect!
I know I am late to the party, yet your video was spot on---THANK YOU! I looked so forward to my mugs and got disappointment instead. I didn't even think of putting the image to the side. Thank youn again!!
So much concise & applicable advice. You have saved me so much time. Your video presentation is very professional in all aspects. Thank you so much. I wish you continued success in everything you do. 👍🏼
You can kind of do this if you choose the pattern option but it doesn't always center properly. It is better to do it manually as Juna showed in this video.
@@SpiralCee it would be better if they let us double the design as they do on the notebooks. And i agree with you on the pattern and if you get the pattern to look good on the small mug it loos like crap on the tall one and other way around.
Yes, this is great advice, I made up my own little "template" so much easier. I'm looking to correct the Greeting Card to the proper sizing....did you do a video on that one? If not, could be your next teaching video. Let's Go!
Aw man.... I was really hoping that would help.... I'll have to keep track and see if it makes a difference on my end...thanks for sharing your result...hope you get more sales soon
hi juna that's weird as had mugs on my list to sort out spend more time on them instead of rushing them unsure whether to do white version then do variations of some light colors so gives more choices could do both see what happens I have lots of time as no sales so I can use your upload schedule chart which is excellent by the way taking my time think of special events coming up 4th July I want to get summer designs up as people will be thinking of holidays soon then in July thinking of Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Xmas get in early so that can promote them too I'm all planned out till new year lol
There is an option to show the other side of the mug on your mockup (default view) ... but it doesn't work! I emailed Redbubble about this and they said it's a bug and they're trying to fix it. Maybe if we all submit complaints, they'll get on it and fix it already!
Thank you so much for giving us the dimensions for the template. Unfortunately in the official template the lines for the center of each side is missing. I doubled the image for my designs but I kind of eyeballed it. I worked on moving the designs as long as necessary and reuploaded a few times. White mugs is a good hint, I will change that. I haven’t sold any mugs till now, hope that will change soon after that update 😄
@@DetourShirts I put for text design a colored square and white text on one side and black text on default black background 😀, also a pattern on travel mug.
I'm still a little confused about the tall mug. You gave us the dimensions to design for the tall mug but I don't see a place in RB where you can upload the design so the tall mug fills out like your example. And I'm having the same issue with addressing the different sizes for phone cases. Am I missing something where I can go in and adjust for the tall mug and the differences in Apple and Android?
Great question... So RedBubble combines the tall mug and the mug together we don't even see it as an option when uploading a design... same with the different phone sizes.... you will only see Apple and Android but not all the versions of Apple and Android.... I don't know why RedBubble does it this way.
Thank you for this video. The 600 measurement from the edges is exactly what I was looking for! However, I am still having a problem with the upload and how it looks on the classic vs the tall mugs. If I save to the full size (2700x1624), to cater for the tall mug, my image is being distorted on the classic mug, rather than cropping off at the top and bottom. Do you have any suggestions about what I might be doing wrong?
I had the same problem. Go into edit mugs and push your design closer to the far right edge or the far left edge. Trying to center it seems to be the problem.
red bubble related but different topic. How do you set your graphic to be on just the front or back of a t-shirt or hoodie? I used the "back" button in the edit window but after I hit apply the graphic is on both front and back. The options for this seem limited unless there's a menu I'm not seeing.
I have made a design size for individual products on rebubble. The dimensions they say works for the largest item, doesn't really work. Using the graphic tee dimensions seems to work better.
So I’m confused. If I create a template for the mugs when /how do I upload it with the design I’m using gif all other products? Can I do it at the same time as uploading the design on all the other products? Or do I do the mug separately? Am I making any sense ? 🤦♀️🙏🏽
Yes... it makes sense... I didn't know this before either... so on each product you can upload a different image.... click on the product and you will see replace image on the top right ... click that to upload the mug image just for the mugs
Very helpful, yet again, thanks Juna. How important do you think it is to repeat the design? Most mugs I've seen elsewhere feature the design only on the left of the handle.
Good point!.... It really depends on the space.... if the design is longer than taller I think it's okay to have one...if it's taller thatn longer than two may be better
It'd be nice if it allowed the default change for a right hand, straight, or left handed. Even if you choose a different one the default is always with the handle to the right... so strange to me.
Hi juna, so we can use exact phrase or saying (which is trending) in our design but should not copy others exact designs and pattern elements, Am I correct?

@@DetourShirts okay, I know we should not use any phrase which is trademarked,But can we use phrases or sayings which are trending and are already used by other creators in their designs?

Those empty design mugs on your video @2:43 are the sellers that put the design for right-handed people, but the display aren't showing their design because it wont allow the sellers to choose which side of the mug they want to display.
