Got this headset 3 weeks ago and it's the best wireless headset I've own. The sounds quality and battery life is really good, the microphone could be better but its not bad
Great review. I've been researching the past few weeks as I want to upgrade to my first wireless gaming headset and the nova 7 seems to fit everything I'm looking for. They'll be delivered today, can't wait to try em! Thanks for all the info
@@japyoo2248 They are pretty good. The BT range is fantastic, and the adjustable fit is amazing. I have a pretty fat head and I can wear this for hours at a time and stay totally comfortable. What I did find a little disappointing (and I was able to mostly remedy) was the sound quality was not as great as I had hoped. Maybe my expectations were too lofty at this price point. In all honestly they are better than my $60 corded Corsair headphones, but not by a whole bunch. I did find some videos on youtube to adjust frequency settings to improve sound quality, which did help, but still feel just a tad let down. Over all I'd give it a 7/10 - Not sure that there's much better at this price point but if I could go back I would've opted for a more high end pair.

If you're talking about the chatmix dial on the right earcup, playstation doesn't support it, so it won't work. As for the mic feedback, you can only change that in the steelseries . gg software on pc.
My question is does the Arctis Nova 7X have the tempest 3D audio for PS5? Orignally I was planning to buy the 7P, cause I primarily play on PS5 but hearing that it is not compatible with my Xbox Series S is kinda troublesome..
I'd recommend getting either the 7X or the original 7 since there's no benefit to buying the 7P. But if you're also planning on using it with your xbox as well as your ps5, you've basically got to get the 7X. On the Steelseries website, it mentions that it supports "360° Spatial Audio" which I assume counts as the Tempest 3D audio for ps5
hey quick question should i be worried about the thing that holds the cups? it seems to not be that strong just wanted to know im looking for a headset
If by "the thing that holds the cups," you mean the hinge connecting the head strap to the cups, then yeah, it's perfectly strong. I've been using the headset heavily throughout the year and a half, I've had it, and it's held up great. It is made out of plastic, but honestly, that is a good thing since it's SUPER flexible.
@arashgames7 of course! Not at all, It uses a 2.4ghz connection through the dongle, so it's basically as fast as wired. There is a Bluetooth option which does have a bit of a delay but the only time you'd use that is if you're connected to your phone so it's fine!
@@PeytonToenjeshello man I have a wueation is there any way to switch between configurations without the pc. Like I don’t want to have my pc open all the time to switch I subbed pls reply
I love mine, but the mic ain’t so great. I have a dedicated mic now. I love the Bluetooth feature because I can play music at the same time I’m gaming.
It’s weird how no one mentions that they are sound canceling, I found that out myself after buying it and it sucks. The worst thing is that I can’t even use the side tone to get around that because the mic is soo terrible that it adds constant white noise. The comfort is soo bad as well, it just falls off and you have to have it in a certain position because the sound quality relies on it being squished up against your ears so the bass doesn’t leak. So now I have to buy another headset for VR. But like damn why is everyone saying these are good. It’s like I have a different product.
no one is mentioning that they are noise canceling because they aren't. the mic is alright, unless you're comparing them to a wired headset in which they definitely are pretty lack luster. As for the fit and comfort, that's always obviously going to be personal preference, but maybe you can try and adjust the headband on the headset to maybe give it more of a seal.
Every headset that I have used allows 90% of the sound to pass through. these are air tight so I feel the pressure in my ears and it needs to be perfectly sealed to get the best sound quality which is very disorienting in my opinion. I don't think there is anything I can do about the comfort since i'm so used to having super comfortable headsets that feel like there is nothing on my head.@@PeytonToenjes
Sorry, but I'm not sure. I don't have the psvr2, so I can't test them, unfortunately. But I can say that the Nova 7's aren't too tight on your head when wearing them in general. I hope that helps a little!
@@PeytonToenjes alright thanks anyway. If you find out anything by chance please let me know, I‘ve been looking for many days for this info but just can’t find any.
sorry for the late reply, yes they can be used on iphone through Bluetooth. Not sure what you mean by ''go bad'' but mines going strong, the battery still lasts just as much as it did when it was new and the build quality is still holding up. If you get it you should expect it to last for a few years unless you mistreat it but that goes with everything.
nobody answered this on their video is it good for going to the gym and outdoor running / walking or not pls answer because this a deciding factor for me
I would not recommend it for outdoor or the gym. its a little too heavy for doing physical activities. for those type of things I think some good wireless earbuds such as the Galaxy Buds Pro or the Airpods pro are the way to go. its up to you though!

the cushions are made from a material that StealSeries calls ''AirWeave memory foam.'' its super comfortable and from my 9 or 10 months of having it, I haven't had my ears get too hot once!

Hello, nice video! I have a question, Did you notice by chance if as soon as you wear the headphones, the right headphone looks more isolated than the left one? I just bought this headset and online I can't find anyone complaining about this annoyance, while I notice it a lot wearing them.
Thank you, and no. From my experience, they are pretty good at being evenly clamped on my head and isolating the sound coming from them. It might be a certain head shape thing, but maybe try to adjust the headband slightly. That might help!
@@PeytonToenjes i have alrrady adjust the band and the ear cups. the sensation in the right eardrum is as if you were wearing closed headphones, while in the left one as if you were wearing open headphones.

Is not annoyng like the first pair. after 3 weeks of use whit the new pair is very hard feel the pressure difference, and it seems that the wearing time slowly fix (but not resolve) this issue. I think that the problem is the costruction of the earpads and not the head phisognomy, don't get me wrong, they are excellent headphones in terms of construction.
Yes, it can be used on console. You won't be able to use sonar to customize the eq, though. Just make sure that your console has a USB c port for the dongle. I'd recommend going to steelseries.com, going to the Nova 7's, and scrolling down to see everything they support!
Some people say that the changes in the eq you do on the gg program doesn’t apply when you connect the head set to the play5, is that true? I want to buy them to play exclusively on console so it’s important to me. Ty and good video
From what I've noticed that is true. The changes seem to only be applied when you are using them through pc, though unless you're going to be changing from pc to console like ever 30 minutes you won't notice that when youre using it on console it sounds any worse. The headset still sounds great on console and I haven't found anything to complain about while using them for my ps5.
I'd go with the normal 7. the all black build and the connectivity with everything the 7p has is good. I use my normal 7's with the ps5 and they work great! I hope this helped :)
I guess you can, but I wouldn't recommend it. Bluetooth is still Bluetooth, and if you have the option to use the included 2.4ghz dongle, then you should
Guys, It's about my PS5, on which I tried 5 pairs of headphones. Razer Barracuda, Arctis 7X, Corsair HS80, Razer Barracuda again and now Arctis 7. Only on the first pair did the microphone of the headphones work for a while, but as I read, Razer has a problem with the dongle for that model of headphones, in the sense that it disconnects after a while and no longer works wirelessly. I kept looking in the settings, at various tutorials, etc., but nothing. I want to mention that when I go into the console settings to test the microphone, it works, but when I go into Call Of Duty, it doesn't work. Do you have any idea what it could be?
Hey man, I am about to snap those, i see you are still using those, how's the wear and tear can you tell me whether they feel comfortable wearing them only on one year? Thanks man!
They come with a low bass and too much treble as you said and the only way to fix it is to install their huge software which is fine but a little too bloaty for my likes. I would've liked a simpler way to eq them rather than dividing your sound outputs on windows into a million options and then require manual switch when you listen to music vs when you game vs whatever. Seems a little too much and unnecessary. I mean its nice to have all the options but its not fine to be forced to use them.
I just use one output option for everything which works great and it automatically changes to it when I turn on my computer. I haven't had to touch my audio output in a while. I guess its personal taste but the SteelSeries gg software to me is one of the sleekest peripheral software's I've ever used.
@@greg6162 you can configure and update your headset on PC. I have the 7X, it connects to my PC as well as my Xbox. Sonar only works on PC, it sucks we can’t use it on console because the positioning audio is so much better with it than on console. I returned my headset because of it

Thank you! I got my EQ from a channel named "GadgetryTech." I only set my EQ using Sonar, but I hope that helps. The audio without Sonar definitely isn't bad, though, so if you can't edit it, you shouldn't worry about it.
@Greg from what I've noticed, I don't think the sonar profile saves onto the dongle or the headset, because when I use it on the ps5 it doesn't sound like it has the settings I set. But after the first time I realized I kinda forgot about it. The sound is still very good. So to answer your question, no, I don't think so.

Bruh the throwing ur hand up a billion times is so funny to me 😅
Really good video, music is a little loud over your voice tho
thank you and my bad. I realized that in a few parts of the video as well.
is it possible to use it while it charges?
great video, man!
Do they fit well over the psvr2?
My astro a50 are quite tight
Sorry, but I'm not sure. I don't have the psvr2, so I can't test them, unfortunately. But I can say that the Nova 7's aren't too tight on your head when wearing them in general. I hope that helps a little!
@@PeytonToenjes alright thanks anyway. If you find out anything by chance please let me know, I‘ve been looking for many days for this info but just can’t find any.
Randomly came across this, - they fit well over the psvr 2. tried this recently. I’m sure u already figured it out though. Happy gaming
I have nova 1 and nova 7p wirless both of them are fitting really well with psvr2 and more comfortable than sony pulse 3D
i use it for my xbox and i cant rlly hear myself talking, any solutions?
can the 7X be used on iphones ? and i'm guessing u had it over a month, is it true that they go bad after a month or 2?
sorry for the late reply, yes they can be used on iphone through Bluetooth. Not sure what you mean by ''go bad'' but mines going strong, the battery still lasts just as much as it did when it was new and the build quality is still holding up. If you get it you should expect it to last for a few years unless you mistreat it but that goes with everything.
nobody answered this on their video
is it good for going to the gym and outdoor running / walking or not
pls answer because this a deciding factor for me
I would not recommend it for outdoor or the gym. its a little too heavy for doing physical activities. for those type of things I think some good wireless earbuds such as the Galaxy Buds Pro or the Airpods pro are the way to go. its up to you though!
@@PeytonToenjes first of all thx for the respond
but i have one more question
my usecase is more a gaming type ( like 80%) but i do some times wanna use it for gym do u think its good for that
i wanna go witha gaming headset for sure but i wnat something that is semi decent for workout
I'm looking for this.
my priorities is comfort, bluetooth, and sound quality
i mostly wanna use this for my online classes for 8 to 10 hrs a day, my current headphones' ear cushions are of leather and they heat so much i get pimples around my temples. are these ear cushions good for long sessions? because i see they aren't made from leather...
the cushions are made from a material that StealSeries calls ''AirWeave memory foam.'' its super comfortable and from my 9 or 10 months of having it, I haven't had my ears get too hot once!
@@PeytonToenjes thnx for confirming fam
Hey bro great video! I think i heard that a Usb A to Usb C Female cable was included. Can you use that and the 2,4Gz connector together?
Yes you can! I'm actually using that for my dongle 👍
@@PeytonToenjes Oh thank you for the fast responce! I actually purchased my headset today and thought about to purchase a Usb A to Usb C cable but you saved my money! Thank you very much and have a great weekend!👌
How’s the connection with the PlayStation?
It's just as good as pc, perfect! Once you plug the 2.4ghz dongle into a USB port on the Playstation, it connects almost instantly. Hope this helps!
First things first. Upgrade the Firmware, go the Engine setting in the APP. Turn off Volume Limiter at the bottom right. Everything else is cake.
@Alessandro Tremoletti oh that's odd. Have you only experienced it on this headset specifically? If so, it may be defective or something like that. Don't quote me on that, tho.
@@alessandrotremoletti9164 I have Nova 7P and I noticed something similiar like you described. I also feel bigger pressure on right side. Did you do something about it, or you just got used to it?
@@HereAdrianK I replaced it whit another pair, the pressure in the new pair is less than the first, but it still persist.
Is this one better or the Sony Inzone H7?
I'm not sure, I don't own the H7's so I can't test them
Can you use the headset while charging?
yep, sure can!
On best it says for PC but can it also bc used for console?
Yes, it can be used on console. You won't be able to use sonar to customize the eq, though. Just make sure that your console has a USB c port for the dongle. I'd recommend going to steelseries.com, going to the Nova 7's, and scrolling down to see everything they support!
Can you use it on Xbox and PC simultaneously?
Yes, if you use Bluetooth to connect to the pc and the dongle for the xbox.
What clock is that in the center of your desk? Looks nice
It's a Digital alarm clock from Jall. You can search that up on Amazon and it'll be there 👍
@@PeytonToenjes thanks man! I ordered one right away. Great vid btw, forgot to mention it in my previous comment
Late response but very inaccurate. Changes made in GG do carry over when used on PS5. I've made a custom EQ, changed sidetone with zero issues
What is the difference between the nova 7 to the nova 7p exactly ??? In my country the 7p costs an extra 42$!!!! Why?!?

Would I still be able to use it through the 3.5mm jack?
amazing video man! Wich is the best between SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 or SteelSeries Arctis 9?
I'm torn between corsair hs80 wireless and Steelseries Arctis Nova 7
Hay thank you for the video , what i should choos between 7p+ and nova 7. I play in ps4 and i will have ps5
I'd go with the normal 7. the all black build and the connectivity with everything the 7p has is good. I use my normal 7's with the ps5 and they work great! I hope this helped :)

That's just a habit of mine when recording, though I'm not sure what rapper does that?
Nice video bro, can I use the Bluetooth connection for gaming?
I guess you can, but I wouldn't recommend it. Bluetooth is still Bluetooth, and if you have the option to use the included 2.4ghz dongle, then you should
@@PeytonToenjes aiit, thanks
Thanks man!
This or the Logitech pro x 2 ?
Thank you 😊
Hello what micro phone are you using? im a new fan here!
Afaik 7P is not the same. Scroll have different funcionality
does your right hand have a turret?
It's the microphone I'm using to record my voice audio...
So the 7P’s for PS5 without a PC I’m basically screwed for sound profile and sonar settings?
@@greg6162 you can configure and update your headset on PC. I have the 7X, it connects to my PC as well as my Xbox. Sonar only works on PC, it sucks we can’t use it on console because the positioning audio is so much better with it than on console. I returned my headset because of it
Great review 💙🤗🙏🏻 if by any chance,do you remember who did the EQ you chose for the headset that’s not sonar? Cause I play on console and sonar isn’t available
Thank you! I got my EQ from a channel named "GadgetryTech." I only set my EQ using Sonar, but I hope that helps. The audio without Sonar definitely isn't bad, though, so if you can't edit it, you shouldn't worry about it.
@@PeytonToenjes I bought the Nova 7P for my PS5 but I don’t have a PC to edit the sound profile. Am I missing out on sound profile’s in term of sonar?
@Greg from what I've noticed, I don't think the sonar profile saves onto the dongle or the headset, because when I use it on the ps5 it doesn't sound like it has the settings I set. But after the first time I realized I kinda forgot about it. The sound is still very good. So to answer your question, no, I don't think so.
I've set up the eq and they still sound worse rhan the corsair hs60 I bought 4 years ago, i'll refund and buy the hyperx cloud 2

I'm super baked and the amount of cuts in the video was annoying asf (even though the audio was great)
Other than that, the video was great!
Thank you! The reason for so many cuts: I have a hard time keeping train of thought, so I randomly just forget what I'm saying and have to start where I left off a lot.
